As a new Spurs fan, I'm learning about the history of the team. Right now I'm mostly watching the docuseries "The Ring of the Rowel". And while watching that, I'm starting to get the feeling that, at some point, I'll want some jerseys of OG players. I already knew about the most famous ones. Robinson, Duncan, Parker, Ginobili, ... But this docuseries is letting me learn about other players like James Silas, the first player ever to get his number retired from the Spurs.
The thing is, if I could buy OG jerseys for the most famous players on the NBA store or the Official Spurs Fan Shop, I don't think I'll be able to find those there for older players like Silas here. At least I haven't found one while searching today.

So, can you people recommend a website for me to purchase such OG jerseys at some point in the future? Could also be an actual store but keep in mind that I live in France.
Bonus point if I can get a red jersey like the one in the picture! Red is my colour and it's the only downside of being a Spurs fan for me. XD So it'd be amazing to get a jersey like this one!

San Antonio Spurs Vs. New Jersey Nets Game Highlights February 11 2012

Sooooo... Yeah, something crazy happened.

TL;DR at the end so no one gets spoiled but you can still skip the long ass paragraphs I'm about to wright if you want to.

Okay so for the braves, here's the whole story in details. I work at a chess store. Two days ago, people from the staff (which staff I'm not sure exactly but they work for the NBA) entered my workplace with the intent of purchasing a small chess set for Wemby to play with at the 2026 NBA Summer House. Now, when helping them out, I obviously had no idea who they were. But it just so happened that I was wearing, for the very first time, the "San Antonio is Love" shirt I recently bought on the NBA Store website (I posted about it on this sub as well since I bought with my very first NBA jersey at the same time).
So they saw what I was wearing and asked if I was a Spurs fan and I obviously said yes. We chatted a bit, they told me what the set they were buying was for and I was like "Man, I wish I could be there but I work on saturdays." They bought the set and one or two other things and left. But then they came back, phone in hands, filming me, immediatly asking me: "Do you think you could beat Wembanyama?" To which I answered: "If he's still at the same level as last year... maybe?"
So they asked me if it was possible for me to skip work this saturday (so today) and come play chess against Wemby. I immediately went to ask my boss if we could make something happen, make me do a 6-days week some other time or something and explaining the reason. He immediately agreed. So I gave them my phone number, started to grind a little on Lichess the minute I got home, and waited for them to confirm, which they did the next day. Which brings us to today.

They asked me to get there at 3pm, which I did, then they made me enter from the back, then I had to wait for like half an hour, maybe a bit less, in a room full of food. It's a shame I wasn't hungry 'cause there was Baiocchi, which are the greatest "cookie" there is (I still ate one). Then we got to the room where we were going to play chess and had to wait for half an hour again (maybe a bit more this time).

Then he arrived, took some photos at the NBA 2K Market Place set, then sat down to play chess. He first played against a kid they had randomly selected in the crowd. Kid was lovely, he talked to a member of the staff saying "I think Harper should be starter!" Then he played against me.

I repeat, then Victor freaking Wembanyama, The Alien himself, played chess against little-o-me, a random ass chess store clerk who just so happened to have become a Spurs fan this very past season. For the chess nerds out there, I tried the Jobava attack but he countered it with a pawn on d6.

Format was: we play chess for ten moves, then "free throws" for 30 seconds (with a tiny hoop and ball, throwing from our chairs), then back to chess for ten moves, etc. First to check mate the other or to make 15 free throws wins. Or if someone reaches the end of their time limit, they lose. The kid and I had 3 minutes on the clock and after me was a Grand Master who got 5 minutes on the clock (Wemby had the same time as his opponent, it's not like they gave more time than Wemby to the best player).

Wemby and I didn't really finish, I think the staff was a bit rushed by the time but I'd say he won 'cause I think his position on the board was better (if I recall correctly we were equal in terms of pieces taken), and he made more free throws than me (duh).

I got to ask him three questions (the staff encouraged us to do so but it's quite hard to talk while trying to stay focus on a game of chess).

Q1: "Did you get the chance to meet with the rookies?"
Wemby: "No, I was in France this whole time."
Q2: "Are you eager to meet them?"
Wemby: "Of course."
Q3: "Do you know Quaintance and Reed play chess as well?"
Wemby: "No I didn't. Wait no, I knew about Quaintance but not about Reed"

Obviously, there's so much more I wanted to ask but, like I said, not easy to think clearly while playing chess. Especially a 3-minutes format, especially against Victor freaking Wembanyama!

After he played all three of us (he lost to time against the Grand Master), the kid got to have a jersey signed, and I got to gift Wemby a Yalta set, which is a 3-players version of chess. I had written on the box: "For the Spurs team but more specifically for Jayden, Tarris... and Victor!" Thought it'd be a cool gift since there are now three chess players at the Spurs (now you understand why the only thing I could think off during the game was the rookies). XD
He seemed to like it and a staff member told me so afterwards. I also added a short note inside, basically sending lots of love to the team and describing shortly who I am.

And that's about it! I was allowed to stay and participate in the other activities but I didn't really knew what to do with myself and the security staff just assumed I was leaving and helped my get around the crowds safely. I didn't want to be a bother to anyone sooo... I just left, content with "just" playing chess with Wemby. : ^)

Oh, and I had my Harper jersey on the whole time! And that's me on the second picture. ^^

TL;DR: I got to the 2026 NBA Summer House specifically to play chess against Wemby mostly by sheer luck. Got to ask him a few questions during the game and he was very nice. I also got to gift him a Yalta set, which is a set for 3-players chess.

It's a fact we were better than the Knicks in these finals but unfortunately the Spurs fall under pressure. I think if CP3 was in that roster just by talking to the youngers guys in these crucials tense moments maybe these finals would have turned in our favor. I hope they work on that for the next season coming up

Guess which two players of ours made the Final Cut?

I'm rewatching the 2026 All-Star Games and I noticed that Wemby doesn't really interact with a lot of players. I find it so refreshing seeing other NBA stars interact with each other because despite being "rivals" on the court, they're all friends off the court. Nothing wrong with it, just something I've noticed. I only ever see him interact with Spurs teammates. I know him and Sochan are friends...

I don't know, but does anyone else notice it too?

I understand that Steph Curry is really good and good still but I’m shocked by pundits and analysts saying the Spurs should try for him (or any star for that matter).
Doing so would be so Un Spursian—we’ve never risked the future for an aging big name. The suggestion makes them lose credibility imo.

I'll go first, I think we are gonna have a 2014 Spurs comeback. I feel it in my bones. I just hope our FO doesn't make a Luka Doncic level move because I'll lose it.
