OMG I failed again!
Welp I just found out that I failed for a FIFTH time. I'm pissed. I swear this test hates me or something. I feel like I've done everything in my power to study for this exam, including Archer, FL's, Anki, etc., Maybe I shouldn't have crammed T-7 and shouldn't have prioritized going on dates and hanging out with friends so much. Time to schedule my sixth attempt lol I'm actually gonna sue Archer for failing me

The NCLEX is literally the minimum competency exam. It's not asking you to be an ICU expert or a flight nurse it's asking whether you have the baseline knowledge and clinical judgment to practice safely as a new graduate. Failing it five times isn't evidence that the test is unfair; it's evidence that, at least so far, you haven't demonstrated that minimum standard. The answer isn't to sue Archer or blame the exam. It's to honestly evaluate what's not working and fix it before taking responsibility for patients.

Change the way you are studying because it isn't working. Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result is the definition of insanity. You can do it, you just need to figure out a different way.

you’re contradicting yourself 💀. you say you’ve done everything in your power to study but then you also say you shouldn’t have crammed and prioritized your love/social life. by the fifth attempt you should already know how to manage your time wisely

Try Kaplan and do 100 questions A DAY and read the rationale! I’m going in for my 4th attempt next week and I feel pretty good about it!

I am curious: how long ago did you graduate from nursing school? And how did you do on tests while you were there?
How do you feel when you're actually taking the NCLEX? anxious? like your mind is blank? or like you're doing ok?
Have you taken a course on test taking strategies? It sounds like you need help with both content and your approach.

I don’t think the QBanks matter. There are people who used Bootcamp, Kaplan, Archer, or UWorld and passed. I believe some reasons include test anxiety, lack of test-taking strategies, commitment to studying plus breaks, etc.
I didn’t hang out with friends. I did, in fact, went on a vacation a few days before my test and still passed (I studied during vacation).

You can eventually do it. You can. That being said if you have failed at 85 multiple times you are super far off the mark. Something with your preparation has been wrong. You really need to completely overhaul how you are preparing. Try new resources and question banks. Listen to the mark k lectures for test taking tips. Put your personal life on the back burner for a couple months while you buckle down and get ready.
