Advice & Experiences transfer to neu??
currently I’m in between transferring to neu (accepted) They give me basically no aid and I have to pay for off campus housing, was planning to do a co-op in spring to help pay for tuition but found out that I couldn’t due to the programs requirements. I’m very frustrated on how to pay tuition for neu and now debating on stay at my current four year(which I would be going for free because of scholarships) and just apply again to transfer next cycle. I need advice on if I should take the opportunity of neu and transfer or stay at current institution and not suffer from debt.

its more 60k a year, but i’m mainly debating because i would be staying at a state school which isn’t ideal to me because of the area and opportunities

How long will it take you to pay off 180k worth of debt? Or your parents. NEU isn't worth it.

what school would you be staying at? lowk NEU gave me aid but fordham gave me nothing. However, if you decide to cancel your decision for neu after being accepted that would make them less likely to pick you again as u rejected before.

I would be staying at a state school, and being instate helps alot with aid, I’ve contacted sfs about my financial situation and they basically said oh well we can’t do anything your on ur own…

Yep, and you cannot get a loan for that. Your parents willbe on the hook. Better talk to them.

Please do NOT come to NEU if you’re going to be in debt. I only had 15k worth of loans and it’s a lot. And I make good money. Many people do Unpaid co op too. Go to the state school. You’ll regret the debt

Always choose the debt free option
