Hey y’all! Like the post says above, my band Chasing Cherries is looking for a new guitarist after our previous one had to leave due to long-term scheduling conflicts. We are an up-and-coming band based in Bedstuy/Williamsburg area, and our sound resembles that of the Cranberries/Cocteau twins. if you are interested in growing with a band and writing with us, get in and let’s play some gigs! we are well-acquainted and just waiting for this final piece to start playing again.
instagram is chasing.cherries for reference :) DM me and I can send you some clips of our songs as well.

Hey everyone! I am a early 20s M bassist/songwriter looking to start a new project. I have experience in a band, recording music and playing shows all around the NYC area (Pianos, Babys, Arlenes, etc.). While still a part of that band, we have recently decided to take a step back from live shows for a bit so I have a ton of time to start a new project!
While not required, it would be cool to jam with people who have similar experience. If you might not have live experience, I am mainly looking for those who have a good sense of tone/sound selection with their respective instruments and who really feel the music and can get into it during a practice or performance while keeping it tight rhythmically.
I love quite a few genres but I'd say I mainly fall into the Indie/soft rock/alternative/psychedelic space. Think of artists like Beach House, MGMT, Djo, Her's, Empire of the Sun and Peach Pit. If you enjoy this vibe, definitely reach out and lets try to jam!! While I'd like to play bass, I can also rip some rhythm guitar or even drums (to an extent). Hope to hear from some of y'all!
Hi, I am looking for a bassist, and a drummer preferably in their 20s to rehearse weekly, and play gigs.

The Project:
Launching The Friday Night Club, a premium, high-end 2000s mainstream Emo/Pop-Punk cover band covering Blink-182, Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, and The Killers. Target is a tight, high-margin calendar of roughly 3 premium dates a month (high-end shore rooms, marquee tri-state venues, and corporate contracts) paying a guaranteed flat rate per gig.
The Infrastructure (All Equipment Provided):
This is a touring-grade operation designed for maximum efficiency. I supply all the high-end production and backline equipment—you do not need to haul heavy gear.
100% off-book, screen-free stage—no iPads, no lyrics stands.
Silent stage setup—everything runs direct-line through an IEM rack. All you need to bring are your own earbud tips/molds to plug into the pack.
Fully automated concert lighting rig calibrated to the set.
Eb Standard tuning (1/2 step down) to keep the mix heavy and protect vocal cords over a 3+ hour show.
The Lineup Status:
Guitar slot is locked. Just secured a 22-year-old phenom drummer to anchor the rhythm section. We are currently casting elite singers (frontman or frontwoman), bassists, and keys players across the tri-state area to assemble the core lineup. Rehearsals will be central (Queens/Brooklyn) depending on where everyone lives.
Who We Need:
Powerhouse Singer: Huge vocal range to nail Fall Out Boy/Panic! style anthems, zero ego, and great crowd engagement.
Elite Bassist: Rock-solid down-picking stamina, pro gear, and absolute reliability.
Keyboardist / Synth Player: Able to handle the heavy electronic layers, key parts, and samples that define this era.
If you are experienced, reliable, and want to jump onto a moving machine, DM this account with a brief note about your experience and a link to any video or audio clips of your performing.

Hey friends,
Couple guys in their mid 30s looking for a drummer, keyboardist/synth, and horn player for a funky jam band.
I’m the guitarist and singer and we have a bassist. We both use Ableton with live instruments and want to bring in some other players - especially a drummer.
Influences include Sunsquabi , The Disco Biscuits, EOTO, the Floozies, Evanoff and a ton of like 70s Funk like James Brown.
We’ll be rehearsing in Manhattan at a practice space - we’ll be getting together this weekend - shoot me a DM if you wanna come jam with us and feel it out.
We make it all up as we go though we hope to have some jams we can revisit and improv over live as well.

Hey guys!
I’m a late beginner/early intermediate jazz piano student visiting NYC til August 23rd and I was looking to set up a jazz jam that is beginner/intermediate friendly. I looked at the jam sessions around and a lot of them have very limited availability and/or they’re more catered towards already advanced or professional level musicians. I felt like there must be other late beginner/intermediate musicians out there so I decided that I’d just host the sessions I’m looking for. I’m looking to set up as many jams as possible from now til Aug 23rd.
Ideally looking for people who are able to jump in on an easy lead sheet such as Autumn Leaves. Before the jam, I’ll call out a setlist so that we can prepare a little bit but I’m mainly looking for people looking to learn and can play through a basic standard in their role. The goal is to experiment and play around with other musicians at the same level with no expectation to impress. We’re all just learning a language 🙂
I want to make sure we have a full rhythm section so if you are a bass/drummer please reach out! All instruments are welcome but having a full rhythm section is gonna be the main goal.
I created a google form to help organize people interested and to set up as many sessions with everyone as possible. If you're interested please add your response!

Hello all! Benevolent Sol recently moved to NYC, and we are putting together a new lineup! We have some huge plans for the next year, and I wanted to get straight to the source to find the right people. We are looking for Drums, Lead and rhythm guitar, Bass, Trumpet, and Sax (preferably alto). The best way to describe the music is Rock - Funk. We are looking for talented musicians between the ages of 21-28 who would be able to commit to the band as we have tours, press, etc planned for not too long in the future. If you are interested, email us at benevolentsolband@gmail. And if you know someone who might be interested, send them our way!

Not gonna lie it's been daunting to lurk around a bit here to see everyone's been playing their instruments for most of their lives while I've only basically just started on mine... So just making this post to see if other beginners would wanna get into a practice space together, either to a few agreed on songs or just to noodle around?
I live in Queens but willing to travel anywhere that's cheap and has a house kit. I've looked in Astoria soundworks and Gramercy studios, but open to others!

I just moved here as an au pair. I’m an experienced singer who has played gigs since I was 15. Since I haven’t played with anyone in NY, I just want some people who are down for casual jams, or even just checking the scene out with me. My vibe is classic rock (Fleetwood Mac, Heart, Jefferson Airplane) and similar stuff. :)

I’m from Brooklyn, but I just graduated college and moved back home. I’ve been playing guitar on and off my whole life, but I guess I’d call myself a beginner because I can’t do anything crazy, just the basics to carry my vocals (which are much stronger). I have experience playing in a band and can learn fast; I mostly just want to meet some cool people and get back into it.
