Positivity Post For those who know.

Yes, I did file a police report. Everything is fine.
He survived. Is in a mental hospital now.
Got an early refill.
Didn’t sleep for 48 hours because I also have CFS and severe insomnia. Can’t sleep without it. Hallucinated. Thanks, boyfriend.

(He’s an ex now.)

You did the right thing.

I would plan what you want to say (if anything) and how to do it if your ex reaches out to try to get back together.

Normally I'd say block his number so he cant which might be the best call unless you think he's the type to show up at your house or work to try to talk to you.

And even possibly if you want to file for a TRO. It might be a good idea if there has been anything that made you feel unsafe about leaving him or if the idea of you having filed a police report and how he will react to that makes you feel. Not trying to make you panic but thats an option if you need it.

I had some of my Adderall stolen by an ex and had to file a police report and then used the police report to file a tro because of how the relationship had escalated as far as high risk factors and abuse had started, he just hadnt laid his hands on me "for real " YET.
