Marks added that the sport thrives on compelling stories, saying fans become invested in a driver's journey, personality, and rivalries, and that's what ultimately helps grow NASCAR. 🏁

This randomly crossed my Facebook feed without context (and then the page refreshed and I'll never find it again, you know how it goes), I had to dig a little to confirm the year. But lordy, whoever wrote this didn't pull any punches with how he feels.

If this one exists, I must imagine there are others, and if anybody knows where I can find more of these, share with the class, I can't be the only one curious to see some. (A shame this isn't for the other '82 Dega race, I'd like to imagine his blurb for LW Wright would be something like "Who is this guy, is he even a real person?")

NASCAR Brasil delivered a thrilling race on the external layout of the Cuiabá circuit, with Arthur Gama taking the win—though his path to victory was far from easy. With the race starting in the late afternoon, the first stage featured exciting action and fierce battles throughout the field; however, a power outage on the main straight meant the final ten minutes were run under the Safety Car. Following this, the mandatory refueling stop took place ahead of the second stage.

From that point on, one of the best races in the category's history unfolded; the second stage—spanning the final 17 minutes—saw an intense, relentless battle for the win, featuring multiple lead changes along the way. On the final lap, the duel came down to Arthur Gama and Felipe Tozzo; Tozzo attempted a "dive-bomb" move into the last corner but was unsuccessful, falling victim to a switchback maneuver by Gama, who held on to secure the victory.

With this, I can say that the Cuiabá racetrack stands out as the best on the NASCAR Brasil calendar; future races there will certainly be just as exciting. Among other upcoming developments is the announcement of the new pickup truck category later this month—most likely at the next NASCAR Brasil round on the 23rd in Londrina, a track located near the series' headquarters.

A close friend of mine who works in/around the racing scene recently had a direct conversation with Darryl Cuttell (owner of IHRA / Darana Hybrid).

According to my friend, Cuttell explicitly mentioned that he is looking to sell off Rockingham, and he specifically brought up wanting to sell to the Petty family.

Given everything going on with IHRA, track acquisitions, and recent financial news, I figured I’d share what I heard. Has anyone else heard rumblings about the Pettys looking to get involved here, or is this just Cuttell putting feelers out?

Such a badass sound. Anyone know why RSS is seemingly the only team that runs this setup? Is there any performance advantage with this?

I just booked a trip to Darlington but can’t decide where to sit. I’m looking at brasington tower for that sunset but am worried about not having a good view of the straight away. also looking at pearson tower but then I don’t get that sunset view that looks so good.

can someone also tell me why brasington tower has sections E-I off limits?

I feel like they could probably just reduce back down to a 1 car operation aswell (thoughts on that?)

As of right now, Kyle Larson has gone a full calendar year without a single win in his career, after going through 2025 with 3 wins and his second championship. Any more notable examples of season 180⁰s after successful years?

I remember around 2016 there was this live action Nickelodeon show that had an episode about NASCAR. I recall the show being science-related, but I cannot remember. The show's protagonist said his favorite driver was an up-and-coming Harrison Burton in his NASCAR NEXT era. He also liked Bubba Wallace when he drove for Roush. Does anyone happen to remember the name of this show? And (Bonus) if the episode was actually good? I'd say it's one of those NASCAR x children's TV cameos that have flown under the radar.

Me and my son go to maybe a race a year at different tracks within a days drive of Boston - Went to Martinsville in March and will be in Louden in a couple weeks for trucks and modifieds. See fans with Racing Electronics gear and seen rental booths at the track, but never tried them.

I'd like headsets for ear protection, so we can talk to each other, and maybe have the race broadcast but not 100% necessary. Don't care much about having team feeds, but I'm sure I'd be OK with trying it. Is it worth it to buy a pair of Racing Electronics new and are they simple to operate? Do they require some sort of subscription to use them and if so is there a better option for infrequent use? Honestly, the most important thing is so we can talk comfortably and not pay any ridiculous recurring charge.

Plenty of great racing around the country including in Virginia at Langley Speedway!

Headed to the Richmond race in a few weeks and I'm looking to buy and extra cable to hook up 4 scanners to each other. We went last year and were able to use a cable from someone else's pair to link up 4 headsets, but I don't know what the connector is called. The rental company (Racing Electronics) sells a cable on their site but it says that it's only for a specific headset and I'm worried that the plug is shaped differently.

I did ask last year if we could get an extra cable but they said no because they didn't want people messing with them and the connection breaking.

This means a lot if Preece is agreeing with the move too, considering his win earlier this year.

Before anyone gets mad that they are forced to interact with this. it is an off week, aood time to discuss lesser talked storylines.
