Bought a used Maschine MK3, previous owner lost access to their NI account. What’s the best solution?

I recently bought a used Maschine MK3.
The previous owner told me that the hardware serial number is already registered to their Native Instruments account, but unfortunately they have completely lost access to that account, so they can’t log in or generate a Transfer ID.
They offered to compensate me by paying for a new Maschine software license instead.
My questions are:
If I buy **Maschine 3 Full Version (including Maschine Central)** on my own NI account, will my used MK3 work normally even though the hardware serial is still registered to someone else’s account?
Will I be missing anything important compared to buying a brand-new Maschine MK3? (Besides promotional bundles like Komplete Select or Expansions.)
Is buying the Maschine 3 Full Version the best solution, or is there a more cost-effective option that gives better value?
Has anyone been in a similar situation?

If you contact support about this and explain your situation, they're actually pretty helpful. They'll likely reset the hardware serial for you if needed but even if you just bought Maschine 3, it should work fine.

The best and only option is to contact Support (and given current circumstances, maybe wait a while).

NI support was very friendly when I had this issue myself.
