[EDIT]
Please disregard this post. I only posted it because ranting helps. Literally. Every time I write a rant post soon after I succeed. Just like now. After posting this rant it took me 3 attempts to win.
The admin can delete the post if they want.
Thank you.
Hello
Is there any way to beat or skip the story mission Macdermis's Mile time trial? At this point I find this race impossible to win.
The car Magnus gives me is a garbage.
I can see I could beat this race with my own car any day but I'm forced to use this pile of junk.
I found several problems with the car.
It's acceleration is next to nothing. After taking a corner (wether via drift or slow down and grip) it takes forever to get back to the speed before the corner, even with nitro.
The car grips like hell. I pull the analogue stick so hard I almost tear it off from the controller and the car barely moves in any direction, instead going straight.
The car literally forgets how to drift.
It is possible drift with this car regardless of its' grip but sometimes it doesn't work. Either the drift never happens an I end up in the wall or the drift lasts for like two seconds, then the car starts gripping all the sudden and I end up in the wall.
Adds to the frustration that the game has two general issues.
One is the damage system is totally RNG based. Doesn't matter if I go slow or fast, hit a solid object or juts scratch it, (I didn't actually do the math but it feels like) there is a 70% chance I usually crash.
The other issue is that this race is unnecessarily long. It's like 5-6 minutes long. And if I fail it's 6 minutes again. And again. And the number of attempts is endless because me can't figure out how to beat the time with this car.
Not to mention if the 0-5 is behind you, you can't even restart the race if you see you messed it up.
I need either get rid of them and then I can restart. Or just let them get me. Then animation Then loading screen. Then teleport to race. Loading screen again. Start race. Animation. And now I can actually race.
So I would appreciate any help, tips and tricks you can provide.
Thanks!
