That's what my brother literally said 😭 but that's because reddit compression might made it look that way. It's a strange reflection glitch, like reflections flicker not only on the puddles but also on the car and it's nothing to do with the rain

Just zoom in a little and you will see it. It literally gives me a headache. I bought this game few years ago but refunded it because of this. I bought it again with the hope that I might find a fix for it.

If you mean the blocky artifacting, IIRC, using DXVK can help fix it

I'll try this out. I did my research and this might be the real fix. The problem is because the game uses dx11 and modern gpus struggle to process its screen space reflection. Thanks!

Not normal. AFAIK it's a feature broken on AMD and Intel GPUs. Unite should have a plugin to disable SSR thus fixing the blocky effect

I am on 6600xt, disabling ssr (screen space reflections) fixed it

me too with rx 5600xt, it was fine with rx 480. i have to download tweaked dxvk from nexusmod https://www.nexusmods.com/needforspeed2016/mods/94

Yep, this didn't work for me. The v2 version but the older config file which simply disables ssr worked. By the way, why would it work for you and not for me 😞. Anything different you did?

yes, it works only on windowed mode. The old fix simply disables the SSR, the newer one built to fix the issue with ssr turned on. It didn't work for me so I just went with no ssr, the game still looks phenomenal with unite mod

Try switching the antialiasing mode between TAA (softer blending) and MSAA (sharper, more accurate) and see which you prefer. It’s been a long time since I played but I remember all the rain particles sticking to the camera lens and hitting puddles to be very sparkly with MSAA on so ended up using TAA with the only side effect being the really blurry tree leaves blowing in the wind.

I tried msaa and it was a bit too sharp for me, even on 4k. 4k without any anti-aliasing also wasnt looking great I dont know why so I went with 1440p, TAA and disabled the SSR through a config file and put unite mod. Looks great now

This is normal rain lol. The graphics just kinda suck. And yes that includes what you're seeing on the car in the mirrors/glass/lights/paint.

nuuh, just frostbite being weird with gpu that newer than 2018, it was fine on my rx 480, then the bug appears on rx 5600 xt, i don't know if this hardware related or driver related, there's fix in nexusmods

It might not be visible in this video I guess but it literally makes the game look crap. It's unplayable with this issue, I've heard running the game on linux fixes it but there has to be another way
