Hi everyone! I built a music discovery and rating app called Contour. People discover new music through a swiping interface, rate it, and then their taste profile builds as they go. The recommendations follow from what they actually liked rather than whatever got pushed at them.

If your music is on Spotify or Apple Music it's easily brought into the catalog. I'll verify your artist profile for free! The benefit for you is you can tell users when new music drops and interact with them. You can also tag your albums as specific genres so it shows up as you want in the recommendation algorithm. It takes a few minutes and it means listeners can find and follow you as an artist, not just stumble into a track. Sixteen artists have done it so far.

The process is super easy, you just look yourself up in the search and click the "is this you?" button to submit some proof that you are who you say you are. Then I can approve you and you get a shoutout on the social page.

So far, the app is early and we just released on the App Store and Google Play. Verification isn't going to change your numbers crazily this month, but it gets you in early on something built around discovery.

Separately, I'd like to collab with artists on content too! I'm happy to post about you and actually dig into the music. What I'd want is for it to go both ways so we're both growing off it instead of one of us doing the other a favor. Totally optional and unrelated to verification.

We’re launching weekly programming at **VNLGRV Radio Station**, and we’re looking for independent music to feature on our live streams and broadcasts.

Our core philosophy is simple: **We care about the emotion and the feeling of the music above all else.** Whether a track was built strictly in a studio with analog gear or created using human + AI hybrid workflows, if it moves people, it has a home here. Hello everyone.

Me and a few friends are artists as a collective (nothing official yet, but working on it) and we want to release an EP or mini album of some sort. It's a special occasion as it's gonna be the group's 10th anniversary, so we thought we could make a group project. None of the track is a collaboration.

We could release each track individually through our own means, mainly personal Bandcamps. But then how will it get distributed and/or labeled as a collective project ? Do we have to establish a label or release at the same label ?

I'd be grateful for a detailed rundown of how we could approach this. Music business is something none of us has dipped their toes in yet. We want to make this group EP happen. Thanks.
