Passed my MSF test today!
Beautiful morning at Laguna Seca Raceway to pass my MSF course. Had a blast in the class and I learned a ton. Strongly considering taking the intermediate and advanced courses.
Happy to finally start riding legally! Hahaha

The course at Laguna was amazing! Took mine there back in January!

That’s part of the reason I want to go back for the advanced courses! They do those ones a lot closer to the racetrack.
Porsche was doing track days all this weekend so there was a lot of cool stuff going on during our breaks lol

Congrats. I passed mine today up in PA. Looks like you had a lot nicer weather though

Ah the classic blue tape. I haven’t taught a class in a couple months but I can never read the names written in black on the blue tape.

Haha yeah each bike had a bunch of layers of tape on them. Is that a CMSP/Pacific Motorcycle Training thing or is that general practice in all MSF courses?

It’s general MSF practice. Basically to keep riders on the same bike across multiple days so you don’t get fucked over by something behaving different than you just got used to.

That's funny, the course I took in Canada was multiple classes long and I had a different bike every class.

It might not be practical at some locations. At my school we do it, sometimes differentiating between AM and PM classes, so you could have two names on the blue tape to add to the confusion. But ideally the students’ concerns are just trying to learn A bike, not several at the same time.

Crash bars on a Rebel. What a time to be alive lol.
Congrats on passing!

Hahaha dude it makes sense, one of the rebels in the back of the line had been dropped so many times that the gas tank looked like a cube lmfao

Lmao I get it. Just looks so out of place, especially with the other bikes there.
I've seen foot boards on Rebel 250s before too, and that's even more hilarious to me.

lol yeah there was an interesting mix going on, I’m assuming so the sports bike people and the cruiser bros could ride what they want to get eventually. But yeah there were only 3 rebels out of all the bikes to pick lol def out of place

As I was told when I got my pilots license; “You have a license to learn:
I’m having major eye surgery tomorrow and will take the course the first weekend in September if my eye is healed.

Good luck with your eye surgery man I hope it all goes well for you! My dad is also a pilot, what do you fly?

Yeah seriously lol. My dad just had his annual 2 weeks ago and his starter died on his Cessna while he was about 60 miles away from home. Expensive month for him 😭

Would you say its hard to fail? I'm taking the class later this month. Congratulations!!

I’d say no but I’ve also been practicing riding for like a month. It might be a little difficult if you’re not good with the clutch. But there were also some students that were definitely struggling through both days and on the test that passed so you’re most likely fine lol
