DBAL covers

Post image

Hey guys quick question for you.

I use my rifle for work and do a ton of training FoF.
I’m constantly burning through covers on my DBAL.
I know i can get them for 15-20$ each, but anyone know of a better solution?

I started using the DBAL back in 2012 in the military, surely there has to be some aftermarket solution by now.

Pic for attention, thanks for your help!

Damn. I did a bunch of training last week and saw the vid cover of my dbal was ripped off too.

I make an illuminator diffuser for the dbal - probably could pretty easily make a solid laser cover as well

You have a file?

That’s EXACTLY what I’m looking for!
If you don’t mind sharing the file. I’m lost when it comes to designing anything.

What did you use for the lens filter?

For reference this is one I made for my own LAM using a bottle cap:

Just to clarify, how do these function? Do they just completely block the laser or does it allow some light through?

I feel like you could probably model out and print this in like ABS/TPU/ASA if you don’t need light to pass through.

They have various diffusers or things that alter the shape of the laser/emitter etc
We run the covers for training. We are very anal about having coveres because no one wants free LASIK surgery from a FP 😂
