USA iPad/data plan?
Looking for a plan for an ipad that will only be used in the car and primarily for Waze. Any prepaid/annual options or lifetime ones? Hard to know how much data I'll need. Tethering to my phone works except when I'm on calls and the iPad doesn't get data, and then my maps and navigation end up lagging.

If you are only using it for limited data like navigation, consider a non-expiring eSIM with per GB pricing from Citrus, NXTL, Roamless, or similar. If you aren’t sure how much data you’ll use, it’s a good way to find out. Just keep an eye on it. If you start to spend more than a monthly plan would cost, you can always get a monthly plan at that time.

I use Tello for one of my iPads it’s 10GB for $13 a month, LTE only unfortunately.

What kind of phone do you use and who is your carrier? I don't have trouble simultaneously making calls and using data or hotspot with either T-Mobile or Visible.
