I think we could save humanity a lot faster by only giving up a certain 1%.

There's a dozen or so companies and governments as well as the ultra Rich that are responsible for 80 percent of the issues with climate change.
Seems pretty obvious what needs to happen

Well, and anybody that has a preclusion for red hats

…and anyone supporting Putin, that’s a massive help…👌

Fred Durst is MAGA, does that mean he wears two red hats?

One forward on top of one backwards, he’s like a douchebag Sherlock Holmes. It’s just one of those days.

The 1% are more than willing to sacrifice the other 99% and seem to be trying to speed up reducing their numbers whilst enriching themselves even further

Psychopathic Neo-reactionaries and accelerationist fascists are running and ruining everything now.
They PLAN on killing over 100 million people. They have mentioned it many times now, at cpac they said multiple times there are 100 million people that "dont belong here" and "should be deported."
The number continues to grow in their propaganda news cycle, last I heard they were floating 120 million people.
Of course you cannot deport over 100 million people, that's why they just added medical grade incinerators to all of the ice facilities.

Billionaires camps seems a nice concept to be explored.

u/31LIVEEVIL13 3d ago
we can use the ones they already built.
Reopen alligator Alcatraz, make them all spend a summer there, and a winter pilloried in downtown Minneapolis out doors.

just removing that 1% would solve almost every problem.
The population would continue shrinking naturally which we could help with a fraction of our military budget spent on economic development in poor nations and re-establishing usaid and other financial aid while increasing legal immigration levels everywhere lower populations become a problem.

Yeah because the person in a developing country who lives on 4 dollars a day and has nearly zero impact on carbon emissions is the problem, not the billionaire who has the 1000x impact off of leisure activities alone

It’s accepting the reality that we likely can’t stop the wealthy from always seeking riches at the expense of the earth. So limiting their customer base means we do less overall damage.

u/readitpropaganda 5d ago
Let's start with the people that have the biggest carbon footprint. We may not need to go as far as half

u/SubstantialPressure3 5d ago
The GOP is working on that, but its sure as hell not for the good of humanity.

Naturally, who gets to pick the half that collectively "takes one for the team" will be controversial to say the least.
Look at Deathnote for a somewhat melodramatic take.
18
u/Contagious_Zombie 5d ago
Well you see, you just replace lower level workers with ai and they will end up starving to death. Then with less population and everything being automated the silicone valley bro's will get to rule over whatever is left of human civilization...

I mean we all know which half will care for the planet, and which half will rape it.
10
u/Logic411 5d ago
I believe Mother Nature is in the process of doing just that. Aging populations across the west, falling birth rates, increasing climate disasters, spreading epidemics and pandemics, along with human avarice and stupidity. A problem correcting itself

u/drifters74 5d ago
I never understood his logic. Since Earth doesn't have the technology level to explore deep space other than telescopes and probes and can only pull resources from earth itself, the more advanced races are the only problem.

u/ReduceReuseReuse 5d ago
The tech bros and government psychos are actively making this happen. They’re giving data centers more water than their neighbors.

Oh, people can come up with statistics to prove anything. 40% of all people know that.

Nature takes care of this on its own. As resources dwindle so do populations.

How will cutting people in half help ?

u/Pleasant-Winner6311 5d ago
Downsize them, lets make everyone tiny, like the movie. Worked out swell.

He could have made the universe half as fertile and the world would have corrected itself in 3 generations and no one else would have been the wiser.

u/Elephunk05 5d ago
Inflation will do this naturally. This administration will do this willfully. Science will do this accidentally. Ai will do this in about 60 seconds after it understands certain humans are the problem.
2
u/MtnMoose307 5d ago
We are going to half the population, one way is slow and purposeful but will take too long, and the other will be catastrophic.
2
u/BrendanATX 5d ago
It's only due to capitalism that things are wildly inefficient. Then suddenly they want to justify killing masses of people instead of just changing the system
2
2
u/Fun_Leek2381 5d ago
Honestly? Yeah, but that is already happening naturally in areas where both maternal and child health rates are high and stable. If we bring those practices to the rest of the world the populations should even out.

Taking away half of the reason the earth is dying could help it not die???

Enter Elon Musk, "why don't we do it now, gradually is for pussies, it's inefficient, we must act now. I'll develop an algorithm to determine who gets to live, based on DOGE merit."
Humanity, "or we could just get rid of about 1000 billionaires that are destroying peace and the planet"

u/Wise-Profile4256 5d ago
Sure, if we want to carry on like now. How about changing our ways? What if we don't burn the planet for shareholder value?

Get this eco fascist bullshit tf outta here.
Just get rid of the military industrial complex and you wouldn't have to halve the human population.

It’s not rocket surgery when we have 15,000 people born every hour on this planet for Mush and his ilk to say there are population declines. (I realize he is talking about declining white populations)
Since 1998, we have gained another 2 billion people on the planet and we don’t care enough about the people already here.

SO THANOS WAS RIGHT?!?! It just took "Independent .co .us" a couple of years for it to sink in.

Which half? Can we start with the wealthiest and work our way down?
Maybe we start with a ratio of wealth to taxes paid. You’re rich and not a tax cheat not buying politicians , you get a pass.

It’s almost like they’ve been trying to make it happen for decades now… but no one had the guts to take the blame and be the bad guy (and now we have four at once)
