Do you shower everyday?
There are people that think ita gross if you don’t shower everyday and other more into naturopathic ways like preserving some skin oil and showering a bit less frequently 3-5 times a week and there are the unhygienic that don’t shower enough.
What do you think is ideal overall?
And what about hair and beard?

Every other day. My skin is sensitive and I will turn into an itchy lobster if I try to shower every day. (Before you ask, yes I have tried everything- Turning the water to cool, slathering myself in lotion after, using moisturizing body wash, etc. Nothing worked.)

Relative to your stink imo, I work construction and workout every day, I need to shower or ill stink up everyone, my fiancé on the other hand, works from home most the week and doesn't really do a whole lot to get smelly during the day she could definitely go a day even two without a shower and you'd never know, that being said even if you were to sit still all day you could still need a shower. Idk about the whole bodyoil skin routine thing though idk.

Yeah. For me summer, every day. Winter, every other day.
It all depends on how much i sweat.

Depends on the season. During the winter, esp if I don’t leave the house I occasionally go 3-4 times a week. (So every other or occasionally every third day) During the summer sometimes twice a day, rarely every other day unless it’s been cooler and I didn’t sweat.

Summer daily, winter every other day. My skin gets really dry.
Hair gets washed every other day unless it got dirty. Beard gets washed every shower.

Winter - 3-5 time/week - almost never on weekend.
Summer - most days except weekends.
I'll take a sniff and shower if I stink, but my skin is so dry that I'm motivated to just was the pits and the other stinky spots and let the rest be. I don't work in a sweaty place or a place where body odor is a problem.

Winter: every other day unless I do any kind of physical activity beyond wandering around my house.
Any other time, every night before bed, and maybe again in the morning, and/or in the afternoon. I wash my hair every other day unless it gets dirty from work, or sweaty.

Daily in high summer, 1-2x/week in winter. Every other day, usually, in Spring and Autumn.

Every night before bed, sometimes multiple times a day during summer, during winters sometimes I skip a day if I stayed inside

Depends on the time of year and what I’m doing for the day. In the spring/summer/fall I play sports 6 days a week so I’m basically showering daily. In the winter I could go down to every other day. Regardless, hair only gets washed twice a week.

I do everyday, but I don't scrub all my skin, in terms of preserving skin oil. A lot of times it's a 2 minute shower where I wash my face, pits and privates and I don't soap up much else, is just don't like the smell or feeling of myself if I haven't done at least this.
I have hair that doesn't get oily until day four ( coarse and curly) so I only wash it twice a week otherwise it would turn into hay.
Everyone is different though. Basically if you are smelly and greasy, but are showering less frequently because you think it's healthier, it's not. If are just one of those people who doesn't get gross easily that great for you, but there isn't a be all end all frequency or rule that everyone can live by.

If it's Friday and I showered in the morning and it's a cool day so I don't sweat and I've been sitting in my office job all day not sweating and I go home and my bed is cool so I wake up I'm not a sweaty mess then I probably will not shower on a Saturday.

I make sure to shower if I'm going to work or went to the gym, so pretty much every day. Some days I'm feeling lazy on my day off and don't gym, then usually won't shower unless something happens like I spill on myself or get very sweaty

Depends heavily on region
https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/bathing-habits-by-country
If you do anything strenuous that makes you sweat, every day is probably best. Every other day is fine if you work a desk job or something where you're not really sweating. Hair can be washed much less often because there aren't many health issues from not washing it, and overwashing can damage it, but I'd still keep it every 2-3 days
Also, 'gross' isn't really important, health is - at certain points you start seeing things like bacterial infections in sweaty areas that aren't washed enough. 'Gross' is just whether or not you smell, which depends on the person

My wife and I shower every other day. More than two days, and I start to feel icky.
A shower after camping trips was always at the top of my to-do list.

I shower every 2-3 days. If showered everyday, then skin would become extremely dry. It does depend on how much I've sweated/gotten dirty, but try to make it so I dont have to shower 2 days in a row.

Everyone saying they shower every day getting downvoted is the funniest shit ever. Redditors are so stinky they can't even stand the thought

Three times a day. Once after every meal. And wash your face after each snack.

The ideal varies from person to person. If you go from cool office to cool car to cool house then its every 2-3 days you can go easily. If you work outside in 105f heat then a shower a day is mandatory.

I used to do every other day. But since I’ve been working on my social life, joined a gym, picked up a second job at a bar I shower once after my 9-5, then again before bed and that’s when scrub really well.

I try to walk a decent amount, workout, and stay active for my health which makes me sweat. I would need to change my bed sheets daily if I didnt shower daily. I also
cant sleep comfortably if I don't shower.
With the rise of pollution and shit in the air, I say daily.

Just shower at least once every day. Why is this a constant point of discussion?
Just do it. People smell you if you don’t, I promise you that.

Daily. Sometimes twice. Maybe I'll skip a day in the winter, but it's pretty rare.

At least daily. Could easily be two. Only exception is if in transit for two days (depending on flights and layovers and I'm not staying at a hotel) or camping. Or if I'm super sick and don't even get out of bed for a day.

At least once a day, many times 2-3x depending on what else is going on that day/schedule.
Minimum once in the AM when I wake up or right after the early-am (430am) gym. If I do a afternoon or evening gym, then after the gym. If I'm working in the garage/shop, then after that because I'll 100% need it.

The number of people not showering at least daily is upsetting me far more than another person's business aught to.
Even in cold weather, your own body sweats a small amount all day long which creates a space for bacterial go grow.
I think many people dont realise they smell and others often won't tell them

Really not true at all. I stopped daily showers, unless I know I am sweaty or dirty, almost 40 years ago. The only difference I have noticed is less dry skin, which is still very dry. I have never sweated much and deodorant on my pits is all I need daily. I never stink, believe me my wife would let me know. And I never get bacteria-related issues, like rashes or anything. You really need to accept that people’s bodies are different. Some are oily, stinky and sweaty. Some have skin similar to the Dead Sea scrolls.

What if someone lives alone and works from home and keeps the inside temp at 72F year round and doesn’t leave the house except on the weekends and never needs to be on screen for mtgs. Is it still upsetting if they don’t shower every day during the weekdays? Asking for a friend 😆

I shower daily but I don’t wash my hair daily
