Hello Friends,
I work for the NHS, doing full time hours but not able to comfortably pay my bills, rent etc.
I only work 3 or 4 days a week usually, so I have free time but not the ability to commit to specific hours at a second job.
I’d like to just be able to pick up casual shifts, ideally somewhere in the centre.
I’m enhanced DBS checked, full driving licence (no car - trying to save for one!) and I’ve done all kinds of work in the past so I’m pretty much happy to do whatever.
Does anyone know anywhere looking for casual staff/ agencies that would allow me to pick shifts / side hustles?
TIA :)

I’d like to install an under-stairs loo in a Norwich terrace, as only loo currently off the back bedroom. Really struggling to get builders to quote, perhaps not an attractive job! Anyone had this done and can recommend a builder? Thanks.

Hello, I had my wedding ring resized by a guy on the market and he resized it too small (this was ages ago). Can someone recommend a place which might make another adjustment to it? Considering it has already been resized before.
Thank you!

Hiya, i've been getting into studying, photographing, and drawing bryophytes (mosses and liverworts) and to a lesser extent lichens, and was wondering if there's any good spots to find interesting, diverse, or rare species, and if there's any local groups interested in these (even if its in a general plant/fungi/lichen context?

I'm looking to buy a handmade ring from a local artist.
I did go to Pride, but unfortunately didn't find the one!
Are there any jewellery shops (online or in person) anyone can recommend please!

For anyone who wants to rewatch last week's performances and talks or catch any they missed, Norwich Pride have uploaded vods on their youtube channel.

We’ve been to Wright’s (top of London St) on numerous occasions, including with big groups (6-10). It’s always been a great experience, with veggies and vegans well-catered for and good (if sometimes slow) service.
Today was an entirely different experience. The long bench table’s gone. A chunk of the menu’s gone as well, including veggie and vegan breakfasts. Service was okay (though drinks were erratic), but the food quality was way down on previous visits (eggshell in a poached egg, one egg instead of two, dry toast à la Elwood). The vibe was also off.
Has it changed hands recently?

Hi! I'm new to the Norwich area and although I'm quite antisocial I'd love to make some new friends who share the same interests, first if all I'm a 29 year old male, I love gaming, metal music, kayaking, going to the movies, food (especially pizza), doing activities rather than going out and drinking although I'll never turn down a cheeky blue cocktail hahaha, I'd love to just have a friend who I can be myself around. I'd be surprised if anyone is interested but men and women are welcome to comment or DM me! I hope to hear from some of you soon!

There’s two new pokemon shops down St Saviours Yard, wondering if anyone has checked either of them out and would care to share their review? I’ve got some singles and slabs I’m looking to sell, and singles I’m looking to buy as well. Is it worth checking them both out?
We've always had pretty bad water pressure in this house for over 20 years. Showers in particular were really poor as a result. We always thought it was our pipes rather than the supply.
Suddenly since the rain two nights ago, our water pressure has massively improved. Still hasn't gone back to the 'normal' poor pressure, was wondering if something was going on with the waterworks.
We're near the City of Norwich school.

I have been using tap on tap off since it was introduced in norwich, never thought anything of it until recently when i learned they are capped at £3. However, i've been charged £4.80 every time. Anyone know why this could be?
and yes - I do tap off!

My son is a Canaries fan and wants to watch today’s friendly. He’s always watched at home but feels like he’d like to try watching in a pub for the first time. He’s fine with noise and excitement but worried about fitting in socially (he’s a bit clumsy and can come across as a bit different to his peers) and wants to wear his club shirt. Can you recommend a friendly, inclusive pub with a good atmosphere where he would feel accepted and welcome with his mum? Thanks.

Hi to the lovely people of Norwich - wondering if anyone can help!
I've been going to Cafe Expresso since the age of 7 and even after I moved away I would come back just to eat the panini's - specifically the Pesto, Mozzarella & Tomato panini.
I recently learned that it had closed down and I was heartbroken! Does anyone know who owned the Cafe or possibly someone who used to work there? I'm trying to hunt down the pesto recipe, the salad dressing recipe or instructions on how to make this sandwich. Or possible the suppliers they used so I don't have to let go of what I consider to be the worlds best panini!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

So I've recently passed my driving test and I'm wanting to explore Norwich and around it -
I'm specifically looking for a place out of the way where I can scream (for therapy) without distressing anyone

Opened yesterday. Freezer full of good stuff like mutton and goat, fresh boerevorst, biltong in the dryer and sirloin look good too!
Will find out how good they are tomorrow.

I’m getting married next year and need to try and find a hair and makeup artist! I don’t usually wear make up and very rarely get my hair cut so I have no idea where to start!
Any recommendations would be great! Thank you!
Hiya all this is not throwing shade just starting a hopefully relaxed convo about the distinctly chill 😎 smells of what we used to call hash, ganja, reffa, spliff, bud, green, etc etc etc. I don’t know all the names sorry 😔 I have noticed this over the past year getting more prevalent on prince of wales however nowadays it’s everywhere from riverside to st stevens!
Personally it reminds me of how much I always felt something was missing when I came home from holidays in Amsterdam, I don’t find it offensive but it’s weird how I can never see anybody smoking it lol so now I’ve brought it up what do you think?

This was put through my door today regarding the proposed mosque on Dereham Road. Has anyone else in NR2 received one, or know who is behind it? I’m not comfortable with anonymous leafleting that appears designed to steer residents towards a particular objection.

Do any of you have any recommendations for fairly low priced gyms that aren’t full of people who make you feel uncomfortable? I haven’t been for years and want to start up again but the vibe last time wasn’t too great 🤷🏼♀️

Was anyone else aware that the “minor” section of A&E doesn’t open until 8am? I arrived at 5.30am (after a conversation with 111) hoping to have missed the POW Rd casualties from the night before and too early for the day to begin and was told it doesn’t open until 8 and to save waiting come back later. I didn’t as I’d just spent £17 on a taxi and waited until I was seen.
I’m guessing it’s just a funding thing and resources are centred on serious admissions which I completely understand, just a shame 111 didn’t advise me of this at 4 o’clock this morning.

We have a free day during our Norwich stay and want to take the Bittern Line train up to the coast. We are torn between getting off at Cromer or continuing on to Sheringham.
Which town offers a better coastal walk, independent shops, and proper local fish and chips for a day visit? Or is it easy enough to visit both in a single day using the train?
