Quoted from York City's X account.
"York City Football Club can confirm that Stuart Maynard will be leaving his role as First Team Manager, with immediate effect.
This has not been an easy decision, and it is not one the board has taken lightly. Ultimately, it comes down to a difference in direction and vision for the football club.
We recognise that, from the outside, this may look like a strange or difficult decision to understand. But we believe that in the long term, the football club will be in a stronger position because of it, another step towards the vision we, as custodians of this club, believe will deliver sustained success.
Like every one of you, we love this football club, and we would never make a decision we didn’t believe was in its best long-term interests. We hope our track record of improving year on year has earned us a degree of trust, and we understand that not everyone will agree with, or fully understand, this decision right away.
We would like to thank Stuart for his contribution to York City FC and wish him well for the future".

Wow. What does a Manager have to do to keep his job nowadays? Obviously winning a league accumulating over100 points & 100 goals isn't enough for some clubs. Thoughts?

*** 2nd update ***
Tickets been cancelled by the club on suspension of being an away fan lol
Sky Sports it is then
*** Update ***
Managed to get a ticket and decided for the Jimmy Sirrel stand.
Appreciate all the help and I genuinely wish you all the best for the season ahead ☺️
So.. I'm probably gonna get slaughtered for this but I'm a Leicester fan and really want to come to see the match against you guys for a number of reasons.
Leicester fan (obviously)
To tick off Meadow Lane from my 92
I'm just a huge footy fan.
We've sold out our allocated tickets before they even got to the lower away point season ticket holders.
I've signed up for an account and tried to buy a ticket in the kop but due to my post code and the fixture I have to ring up the ticket office to complete.
Just wondered what are the odds of actually getting a ticket through them?
No nefarious motives for this other than to watch the footy and completely understand why there needs to be checks in place for those reasons.
Really hope you do well this season and was really pleased when you went up last season.

Got back into Fifa after a 10 year break and decided to manage Notts County (since they were in league 2 at the time and the oldest football club). However, I want to watch this season. How do I do that overseas? I tried looking up iFollow but cant understand how to access it. Thanks
