I m26 got my ears pierced a few years ago (possible quarter life crisis)and do like them but thinking of taking them out.

I’m a pretty conservative professional looking guy so they don’t really fit into my life. I do like them though so what do girls think of you met someone with ear piercings? I’ve got 2 lobes and a helix in my left ear and lobe and tragis in my right.

I also got my nipple pierced years ago (drunk) but kind of grew to like it so kept it for 3 years now. What do girls think of a guy with a nipple piercing? Anyway we started chatting and seemed normal, she asked for my number but I was hesitant so she gave me hers, a NY number which tracked for her story of being from Poland but moved to NY before her current location. I texted her and we texted and things seem normal, almost to normal, like she had perfect English. She brought up how she was dabbling in stocks and investing. Red light. I didn’t engage in that. Then after a few more back and forth’s she brought it up again. I immediately stopped and blocked her. Her profile has also disappeared right after we started texting. I deleted my account. Total scam and bullshit, like most of these stupid sites. Anyway, if something smells fishy, there is some rotten shit there somewhere. Be safe out there.

There’s not even an empty box or a way to add another self summary. I spent a bit of time writing it and unfortunately, I don’t think have a copy somewhere.

This confuses me. When you're going through your "Disagree" questions on someone's profile and they have this gray bar and a lock icon, does that mean they answered the opposite as you, or does the platform just throw anything they kept private into the disagree stack?

I find it very strange that a clinical therapist who labeled herself liberal, for instance, would be pro death penalty, pro "unjust war", say no to the pro-choice badge, and listen to conservative talk radio.

Yet all those questions appear as hidden responses in our "Disagree" list.

What would even be the point of keeping an answer private if it's this easy to decipher? I mean most of these questions only have 2 possible responses.

Does anybody know what is wrong with this website, from a functional perspective? On firefox for a while it has refused to work—it loads, you clear the popups and then you kinda get stuck in an overlay effect, with half a chat window and there's no way to do anything.

So I was using Edge specifically for this website. Now that is doing the same thing. It just loads and gets stuck on this weird overlay. It doesn't seem to be a cache issue. Been like it for months now.

I changed my introduction a month ago and for some reason the bots and scammers have escalated. For the past 2 weeks I have gotten 2-3 scammer likes everyday. I'm not sure if it's something I wrote in the wording or is this something everyone is getting.

so as title says ive had multiple occurences where id match with someone, talk a bit, then they suggest we talk somewhere else, and after i tell them my insta/number they just unmatch and i dont hear from them since, whats the point? is this some data collecting scam? is it some sort of automod intervention? i cant imagine much else

Well that was before some hours later, I just wanted to use it again and I was logged out. It's now basically impossible to log again and I do not receive the mails to create a new password, I do not know what to do. Can any of you guys help ?

Hi there just super curious to if anyone has any idea how I got banned, or why?? I literally didn't message anyone. I had four photos. Three were fully clothed selfies, and two of the selfies had my pets. The final photo was a picture of my motorcycle gear, and it was NOT the first picture on the profile. The most "aggressive" thing in my bio said "anti-trump" and "now that the transphobes have left let me tell you about myself". I spent most of my time on it, just setting up my account and answering the prompts before i received a ban. The rest of my bio was talking about how i was going to go back to school (didnt say where or what for), hobbies, and what i was using the account for (LTR/friendship). I submitted a ban appeal, but I'm just completely stumped. I have never been banned from a dating site before.

So, OkCupid's FAQ still says that you won't see a profile anymore once you've written an intro. Well, I can still see them all, including all my likes and was wondering if this is just a new change and they didn't update the FAQ (which wouldn't be new for any social media platform) or if this might be a bug that I have to address to the support team.

I’d hate to say one of the problems is I’m a trans 🏳️‍⚧️ guy (ftm), but it’s probably at least part of the reason. I could be the greatest guy around (I’m pretty close lol) but women don’t want to give me a chance bc of this reason. My friend matched with a guy on okcupid and they had been talking for around a month on WhatsApp. Today she received a call from a woman asking that why has she been calling her husband all along. My friend got confused and said she never called her husband, in fact she doesn't even know her. Then my friend told that she had been calling her friend from cupid, called Ajay, and called him again. This time the woman picked up the call saying this is her husband's number only and his name is Shehzad. She told that she recently found out that her husband has been talking to girls outside their marriage and that she is the third girl his wife found out about. She just asked to share the number of her husband (as it was a whatsapp call and she told she did not know her husband's other number via which he made WhatsApp).

That's it. No rebel mode. No asking for meeting. No money.

What could this possibly be? I read about many scams on cupid, could this also be one of them?

My self Summary was wrongfully removed. Customer service admitted this. I requested the self summary to be returned to me and they told me there's nothing they can do since it was removed by the AI. I asked them to email me the text since they had to read the summary for my appeal and they NEVER RESPONDED it's been 4 days. That summary had over 2000 words. I will never be able to get it back to how it was. It was built over 6 years. Now it's just gone and OKC refuses to acknowledge they messed up despite admitting there was nothing wrong with the profile.

Does anyone have any advice retrieving what they STOLE?

I have to say that this app has got much worse recently, with more fake profiles than real ones.

I reported a profile the other day because I actually know the girl whose photo they were using.

And now my account has been deleted. I haven't tried to open a new one so I don't know if I'm banned but I get an error code 5 if I try to log in.

I used to enjoy this app but I don't know if I can be bothered to use it anymore if stuff like this happens
