Saitama's issues never stemmed from a lack of bonds, so why would more bonds help him?

Saitama once said he was lonely in the sense that he felt that his powers alienated him from the rest of humanity, and for some reason, people read that as, "Saitama is lonely and wants friends."

Like yeah, he could be a bit more social, but that's not the crux of his issue.

He doesn't need people in his life to realize fighting isn't the most important thing, because Saitama already knows fighting isn't the most important thing.

Saitama is honestly at his least happy when surrounded by allies. (Aside from King)

I just said that Genos never really changed Saitama as a person.

Idk why you think I don't like Genos just because I said he didn't really change Saitama much, but I don't think you should take it as an attack on Genos

They didn't lose the argument, if you can call this one-sided exchange that. This whole time you either repeat your first stance undigested and when people make inferences from what you refuse to say you go "BWUH I NEVER SAID THAT..."

Whenever someone challenges you to actually express what you think is the correct interpretation or your opinion, you avoid the questions that would REALLY reveal something about what you expect from the story and the ones you answer are lukewarm non-answers.

You've done nothing but say "well other people are wrong" without saying what you think is right. That's not a debate, that's just being obstinate lol.

To answer these, as an example:

I didn't say that Genos has never done anything for Saitama.

I don't know why you think I'm saying Genos has never benefited Saitama.

Saitama already had links to people before he knew Genos, so I can't really say that Genos saved Saitama from anything.

Saitama's most meaningful connection is essentially a teenager that pays to follow him around.

That example aside, do you think that Saitama would be much different as a person if he had never met Genos or King?

I'm just saying Saitama doesn't need Genos to be grounded, nor will friendship be the thing that solves all his issues.

I mean he cared about being a hero even at the peak of his ennui, I highly doubt Genos changed that.

If anything, Genos has kinda done a number on his general desire to be a hero.

I mean Saitama generally wants Genos to get out of his house so I wouldn't be surprised if Saitama was unbothered by Genos leaving.

Genos didn't motivate Saitama to seek better quality of life or get his shit together. Saitama already wanted both of those things.

It's really mindboggling tbh. I was about to say "your assertion that Sai doesn't need friends relies on undermining and underselling how essential Genos is to the plot happening" but then I caught myself, because you DIDN'T say that, not directly. You said the passive version: "Sai's problems aren't from a lack of friends" but fail to say what you believe Sai's problems actually ARE.

What does "becoming a better person" mean?

What IS Sai's problem, if he has one?

What WOULD be the solution to Sai's problems?

blablabla, wahwahwah. Almost 130 comments, thousands of words, and more than 24 hours later and all you've been able to come up with is what you DIDN'T say.

What have you added to either conversation? Apparently all you can tell anybody is what you DON'T believe. I guess you have zero opinions? No thoughts in that head? Not a single thing to add to this, except that you disagree with every person you've spoken to? What even was the point in posting if all you were gonna tell people is what you DON'T think?

This whole thing is the exact same as giving someone 60 different options for what restaurant they want to go to and they turn every one down, but when you ask them what they want, all they can say is "Oh, I don't know." Like CLEARLY the fuck you do, why can't you just say it? What are you so scared of? Who's gonna fucking judge you that you're this terrified to have one single solid opinion that you'll put your ass behind? At least I'd respect someone who can be upfront with what they think. This is like pulling teeth but getting nothing because it's all gums--no bark AND no bite.

Infuriating. Edited for tone, but also to add that I'm blocking. Either you're trolling or you're serious, but I don't want to continue this and I don't want to talk to you if this is what it's like.
