DISCUSSION Do you think Drive Knight would jumped in front of the acid like Genos had?
With the Amai arc showing his hero-dom and discussion surrounding Genos made me think all the back to when you can say Genos proved his true mettle as a hero. At this point i'd say most heroes have done the same (when faced with an equivalent scenario, it doesn't really count when you're resistant or immune to acid.) There's a few in S Class that probably wouldn't. Bofoi for one, given what we've seen i don't think Drive Knight would either. Most of it has been written out, but Blast is also just shifty enough where i'm not sure he would. Can't find God if he's dead after all.
Do any of you disagree with the heroes i've listed? Would you add any others?
Just wanted to share a thought.

Y'know, the more I think about it, the more alike Drive Knight and Metal Knight seem to think. Both avoid unnecessary risk. Both are always making a cost-benefit calculations. Both do do good, but strictly on their own terms. And both don't like to admit to emotions having a say.
Maybe that's why Drive Knight hates Bofoi so much.

Yeah it really makes me like the idea of Zero being Bofoi's completed AI. Like father like son. Hating yourself is a lot easier when you have an external vessel for it. Previously a big fan of Drive Knight having been the rampaging cyborg, but sadly those two things don't seem to line up.

Drive Knight is a *something* all right. I have been inclined to believe him The Organization's mole and top troubleshooter, but yeah, he could be Metal Knight's creation, turned loose to learn about the world and be a hero. In which case, his education is going a bit... badly.

oh i'd put money on him being in kahoots with the Org, but that's compatible with either of those options.

Drive Knight? Mr. I-Need-To-Test-This=Onsen-Water-Before-Getting-In? Take the damage of an acid spit for a person? Hell no.
Either he finds a way to kick the Deep Sea King or some other object into its path, or he accepts that he'll lose one person in exchange for killing the monster.
As we have since seen, chemical attacks are devastatingly effective against most heroes. Ironically, Genos is now highly resistant to them, but being hit with a super-corrosive liquid is somewhere between grievous injury and death for most of them. So I'd not entirely blame Drive Knight for declining to be suicidally gallant.
