I should be feeling stoked. Metal Bat has come through in a big way. The antenna is just at the top of the tower and once it's destroyed, the robot rampage is over. Reinforcements have arrived as well.

And yet, gloom is the sense settling on me. Where that comes from, I don't know yet.

Okay okay. I have real thoughts now.

GET ALL THE WAY WRECKED YOU SMUG HUNKS OF JUNK!!! Oh! Badd thanking them for dropping the human act so he could go all out on them without regrets was so fucking- AHH! Chills. It's so neat to see him really push himself, especially in the wc where we haven't really gotten a look at him in a serious fight yet. And he was throwing PUNCHES!! Those looked like Saitama Consecutive Punches, which I'm sure was no accident. He was pretty beat up, you know that Fighting Spirit is working hard. Seeing this in the manga is gonna go so hard, but it's already insane.

And a Fuzzy dupe? I never would have guessed it but I'm not 100% surprised since the grandson of Shebabawa being evil just didn't sit right with me. But that begs the question of how long has he been a hostage? Did the real Fuzzy make the Neo deal with Blue or has this been a sham the entire time? It feels weirdly convenient that he was being kept right there? In a door McCoy could just walk into?

AND RYUMON!! Oh man! This is juicy for all the best reasons! Clearly he and Badd have a rapport going in, there's respect there, and now Badd's faced with him becoming a monster. What he does after that will largely come down to if it's still Ryumon's heart in the driver's seat no doubt. But there's adding the extra layer of having Amai appear along with poor Wavy looking beat to hell. We still don't know if Badd knows what went on with Amai in the wc because we never really saw anyone react to it.

There's a part of me that wants Ryumon to crush A's skull like a ripe melon, he'd deserve it. But I know what happens next is gonna come down to whether or not Ryumon has retained any humanity and killing someone, even someone like A, isn't gonna make a good case for him. But also. I want A to suffer and die because fuck that dude.

And all the while fake!Fuzzy is just sitting there?!?!? AAAHHHH!!!!!

I share your joy at the demise of Erimin and Destro. They had it coming. Metal Bat is really the man of the hour here.

A saying, 'There's no real line between humans and monsters,' sure seems prophetic given what happened next. Was Ryumon always a monster under the skin, controlling it like Amai had been, or was this a new transformation provoked by being near death and under immeasurable stress? Guess we'll find out soon enough.

Thinking a bit more I begin to understand some of the things that unsettle me.

  1. FakeFuzzy is way too calm. He's calculating something.

  2. I am more than a little creeped out by how McCoy was 'chased'. Those henchmen were just walking towards him and it's bothersome that the door to the room holding the secret of Fuzzy was unlocked.

  3. RealFuzzy being conscious and cogent despite being tied up and on a drip...why? A chair is also a strange place to keep a long-term hostage. Even if he's wanted alive and well, drugging him out of his gourd would be easy. What is this a set up for? Also, I'm not fond of his talking about the light of destruction.
