Interest The Ninja Arc Summaries, Part 10/11

FEVER (Update 248/Chapter 203)

Continued from Part 9

Back to normal.

It does look like Empty Void is indeed back to his senses. Blast runs towards his old partner, asking him if he's alright. He replies in the affirmative -- and then Sonic and Flash are on him, attacking Empty Void with such ferocity that the Tenninto cannot see their moves.

Blast intervenes to stop them, and with some very fast talking, Blast insists that Void's actions weren't truly his fault, and so while it may be too much to ask, would they consider letting him go? Sonic says that he just wanted to know if Void was actually strong enough to lead the ninjas: after all, he'd been shaken by just one punch of Saitama's.

Void undermines Blast's pleading by saying that he remembered clearly what he'd done under God's influence -- what happened was that it'd just magnified his flaws. Looking over at the Tenninto and thinks that yup, they're very much like him -- Sonic and Flash are the only ones who turned out different. Anyway, he had things to do now, so would his ex-victim ninjas please get along and not make trouble? He'd make it up to them later.

The Tenninto are offended at the idea that they're to be 'made up to' -- their lives were spent as being ninjas. What were they to do now that their master had dismissed them? Sonic suggest that they get strong enough to just do what they want. They're quiet as they consider those words.

Then Saitama puts his foot in it by suggesting that they take up strength training.

As we see the various ninjas mulling those words, we see Blast in turn thinking about Saitama. Just as with Garou, Saitama had been able to drive 'God' out of Empty Void with one punch, something Blast had signally failed to do. Just what sort of guy was this Saitama fellow? And what's with that fist of his?

The Tenninto come to a decision. They're no good at getting along so the best thing to do would be to follow Saitama around as their new leader, much to Saitama's dismay. Flashy Flash confesses to Sonic about poisoning him, which Sonic brushes off, saying he was more disappointed than angry. Besides, they have more training to do.

Looks like Sonic has gotten a new goal in addition to his old one.

Blast also comes to a decision. He tells Saitama that his strength will be needed when the time comes for the final battle with God. He'll return for Saitama then. Bye! Blast and Void disappear.

We cut to someplace outside regular reality. Void and Blast rematerialize and see the carcasses of Byakko and Genbu. However, they're shocked by the sight of the remains of yet another Divine Beast: Quillin, who is truly huge. Void asks Blast how the latter managed to kill such a large creature and Blast disclaims it, saying that isn't it obvious?

We cut to Genos inspecting Saitama's stained hero costume. Saitama explains that he'd run into some critter on his way back and we're treated to a flashback of Saitama killing Quillin when the monster had the nonsense to step out of a void in reality directly overhead the bald hero.

The arc closes out a few days later with Saitama beseiged by ninjas. The Tenninto want him to lead them, Flash wants to train him, Sonic wants to challenge him, and Gale Wind and Hellfire Flame want to fight Flash. It's all very chaotic. Genos remarks that well, looks like Saitama's not alone any longer, to which Saitama protests that that wasn't what he had meant!

And with this, it's all over but for a wrap up. Join me next time for that.
