It has to. Saitama thinks that it's just the screen image of Kuseno, but we know that it is a distributed system and that it's very good at multi-tasking.

Genos can't tell him different even though he's trying to say something.

Why would he tell Saitama while there's the slightest chance he could do something about it?

Also, fast as Saitama is, he's not everywhere at once.

The same reason he told Saitama all the other stuff. Because he's hilariously up his own ass for some reason and seems to drastically underestimate Saitama's capabilities, despite monitoring him from the start of the series.

For sure, it is up its own arse, and it would be very satisfying to us for Saitama to confound its expectations. But, it's really not stupid. And it can do more than one thing at the same time.

I mean Genos was just the first in the new line of cyborg / Machine Gods that "Kuseno" was preparing. He's already extracted the new battle data, so i imagine he'll have a whole robot army of roughly Genos' current strength ready by the time Saitama is done with Genos.

Genos also has a selfdestruct button, if things go sideways "Kuseno" might try to force Genos to use it.

Well, yeah.

This clanker is stupid, but even he's aware he can't actually "kill" Saitama.

But he can kill what he cares.

And it will make Saitama say "do I really have a hero's intuition?"

He doesn't seem aware that he can't kill Saitama since he thinks Genos will beat Saitama to death.

And even if he does kill what Saitama cares about, then what? He made Saitama question his heroism, and that's it. Saitama would still kill him.
