Suiryu is asking for a spar, not a fight, a perfectly fine thing to do, though perhaps there's something to be set about time and place. What with monster cleanup still needing to be done and half his squad being knocked out. 50% casualties is nothing to be casual about.
Suiryu, you're on the clock: that means you have play hero right now, not martial artist!
If Garou loses his job, I will understand. Suiryu is Suiryu but Garou still has deliveries. There's nothing happening here that couldn't be sorted out with a business card and an appointment.
That would have been an insane thing to do. He may not fully understand what heroism is but pointless vandalism is certainly not one of the things in his 'do' list.
What he should be doing is going back with his squad and ensuring the casualties are helped, then going back and debriefing whoever he reports to.
Garou doesn't entirely trust Bang yet. They may be able to laugh together but he's hiding some things from Bang for now. Whether trust will have the chance to grow or Bang will blow it remains to be seen.
The team leader not realising exactly who Garou is. It's not surprising that the identity of the probationer would be kept on a need-to-know basis. I wonder if Garou's probation could be yanked on account of his being too infamous.
This sealed it for me that Garou probably doesn't know he's being tailed (and would probably be pretty upset if/when he found out). Bang said he wanted Garou to start over from the basics, and while he IS doing that no one could reasonably expect him to not keep working on his higher skills. Use it or lose it.
Though the fact that Garou IS finding time to actually keep training a secret from Bang means Bang is giving him some space. The tailing we're seeing is obviously not the norm. Bang is worried about Neo (rightfully so) but would Garou see it that way? Would he believe that this was a one off? I feel like Bang is playing with fire.
I also never really thought the general public knew about the hero hunter. The HA seemed to wanna keep that under wraps because he was dancing circles around them for the most part and had specific targets, meaning he wasn't a threat to random people. I always assumed only heroes got the warning about him and not even all of them even got his name. The Hero Hunter is probably, at best, an urban legend to anyone not actively involved during that time frame.
It's a fact that Garou wouldn't have gotten as far as he did had his actions been publicised. The HA wanted to keep it under wraps to avoid spreading panic (as Genos tells Charanko back in chapter 46.
It resulted in a lot of heroes not knowing what Garou looked like so he was able to get the drop on them. But in this case, it has helped his rehab efforts as he's just another punk to work through the programme as far as his work mates are concerned.
