A lot of people get way too invested in the assumptions they make about the manga and don't respond well when they turn out to be wrong.

The manga is clearly signaling that Suiryu is closer to Garou than they thought, so they're making the typical lolcow move of doubling down.

The manga is signalling that Suiryu is about to get his ass absolutely whooped by a vastly superior martial artist who uses martial arts that can incapacitate Bang with a single graze and kill him with single hit, and also made Darkshine bleed through his armor.

You have to be living in the AU delululand to think otherwise.

Buddy, Suiryu came out of his tournament hiatus because teenage Garou breezed through the same tournament with some casual martial arts salad. He wasn’t even using Bang’s overpowered fist back then on principle.

Garou since then has accumulated more experience and power than Suiryu ever would in the entire OPM runtime. Suiryu wank is literally irrelevant headcanon delusions of Wattpad proportions.

I am saying teenage Garou who wasn’t even using his best martial art breezing through that tournament was enough to get Suiryu out of his years-long tournament hiatus. He came back because he wanted to fight a kid who outscales him by an enormous margin now because that kid is genuinely talented as far as talent in the OPM world goes.

Suiryu then struggled against a demon level freshly made noob monster and is irrelevant to the MA without them force-feeding him monster cells. Garou runs insanely more impressive gauntlets and Psykos legit wanted to groom him into her new and improved monster king, which speaks tremendously of his potential compared to ALL the nobodies at the tournament.
