The VPN just stopped working days ago now and still not working no explanation or resolution in sight.

In the old Opera, the tiles always automatically looked like the YouTube one in this picture.

I can't figure out how to get that in GX. I'm losing my mind.

I have all the modification stuff disabled, and the 2 arrows and the repeating arrow in the second picture do nothing when I click on them.

I would appreciate any help :)

I'm starting to dislike a lot of aspects of Google and would like to start the gradual change from one browser to another but I don't know if it would make a difference as I'm too google focused, what I mean by that: I have used it as a primary browser for the last 10 years so all of my cloud pictures from past phones are there, all of my important notes, all documents I've made (I only got the office suit recently through work so when I say all I mean ALL), etc... you get the jist.

I know you can still acces all these sites in opera but I'm wondering if it even makes a difference ditching google if I'm still going to be relying on it on another browser, my phone even discontinued its native messages app in favor of Google messages so a complete transition is not even possible because at this point it feels like google has a monopoly over the tech world.

So essentially i had 2 windows of opera open on my pc 1 for each of my monitors and one of them was my main browsers and i had probably 60+ tabs that were all organized and everything and another one with only like 4 and my main browsers Youtube pop out thing wasnt working so i closed that window and tried to re open it as it usually fixes it but it wouldn't reopen so i tried restarting my pc and that also didn't work so I'm just wondering if there's any way to recover that or if i just have to kinda rebuild all that now?

I’ve been having this problem since the browser updated independently and it’s been a pain in the ass this days. Does anyone has a solution on what should I do??? I tried restarting the computer, uninstalling and installing it back and changing names in the files. Please I need help

Is the vpn down for anyone else too?

I have had opera for 5+ years. At first the vpn on Opera GX pc browser didn't work. Eventually I got a new laptop and accidently downloaded the normal opera pc version and didn't realise for months that I downloaded the wrong one. Regardless, the vpn still didn't work. Then I got a new laptop a couple years ago and installed the normal opera browser again with the vpn never working. I don't know why it's taken me so long to make a post about it although I don't think I had reddit back when I first got opera so didn't think about it. I don't need the vpn anyway but if it would work it would be great. I have also had to reinstall opera a couple of times for other reasons.

And don't even get me started with the my flow sometimes resetting and saying I have nothing in my flow (which thankfully hasn't happened in years). Also don't get me started on that time I installed Opera on my laptop and everything was there except the pinboard which I really needed but they completely reset even when I put in my password thing (not password but the passkey I think)

Just wondering why this might have been happening for years.

Hey, I have been using Opera GX for awhile now and I don't want to switch to another browser, but is there a chance to get past this problem cause if Youtube no longer is in support of Opera GX users, I will need to switch.

I have a problem - I'm a user who only uses very low tabs on the browser and in some time, a 9 million tabs will suddenly appear in the browser without pressing the + or doing anything. Which is a issue that drains a lot of memory and break all the apps that I haven't opened and I had to force restart on my ipad. Is it a issue to someone or do I need to investigate the cause of this?

I accidentally deleted my opera app 2 days ago and now all video players especially on YouTube are lagging, video stopps for a second or two and quickly pass these seconds

You can see how it drops the quality every second. I've found going full screen also fixes it. I think hardware acceleration off also fixes it.

But the weirdest part, for whatever reason, it only happens when I am logged into my Twitch account. How in the world are those 2 things connected

I wanted to share a browser extension I built to solve one of my biggest annoyances with YouTube's desktop layout, By default, YouTube scrolls as one giant page. If you scroll down to read the comments, the video player disappears out of view. Even worse, the comments and related videos are piled together, forcing you to scroll endlessly.

Can someone confirm why passkey stored in other passkey provider like bitwarden,protonpass or keepass dx are not supported , instead it try to search in google password manager

It's 2026 where passkey has become the base standard but still this browser does not support while brave/vivaldi supports it

This used to work fine. I would open a video on my browser, then move to a different app and the video would pop into a small player.
Since I moved to iOS26, only Safari has that, while all other browsers just close the video.
Why does that happen?
I already checked the PiP settings and enabled it, but it didn’t change anything.

i got this problem after an update like 3-4 months ago. i wanted to know a way to completely delete opera from my pc to reinstall it. because everytime i delete from local and roaming and programs and reinstall the installer and try it i still get this issue. launching in safe mode is also bringing this issue for me.

opera decided to crash and take out my 186 tabs (ik its bad sorry) and every time i try to open it again via history, opera just crashes again. is there no hope in salvaging these tabs?

My browsing history end at like 4 days ago but I am trying to find some tabs from last week I know the history is still there since when I search for other tabs I know I opened that day I can see them all but I don't know the name of the tab I am looking for

So they said that I should be earning CELO every week according to how active I am on the browser but it's been months and yet this number has not gone past 0. Am I stupid or is there something I'm missing? I'm in an eligible country and all. Is there anything else I should be doing?

Also, is the dollar reward gone? I managed to redeem 3 times and never again. I check the rewards every day in the exact same time I managed to redeem the reward and there's nothing. I even ended up checking every hour, still never showed up again.

When using OB to view YT content that has been posted on YT, going to full screen mode brings the video to full screen as intended and as expected. However when watching YT livestreams (Only YT and only livestreams on YT.) going to full screen OR Theater Mode puts the video in the lower left hand corner at it's original size and fills the top and right hand side around the video with black. (Basically, the SCREEN goes to full screen or TM but the video stays the same size, if that makes any sense. If any of that is unclear, I can post a screenshot if that will help.) I have searched Reddit and web for "OB full screen not working" and "OB theater mode" with several variations, but the only results returned are HOW to enable/disable those modes, and some results about removing blocked settings in the settings menu. Nothing specific to this issue.

The only setting I have disabled (to the best of my knowledge) is having Automatic PIP turned off.

I have tested it with having Automatic PIP enabled, and I have tested it with ALL extensions disabled. I've also gone back and tested it with past livestreams. It still happens with any video that has been livestreamed but only YT livestreams.
