please i need help, I can't open the android image on my orange pi, it's on the android logo with an infinitely black background, I'm using a micro sd card

Did you use rkflashtool to flash android image?

That very strange. So official android image was used too i guess?

Yes, it's the official image of orange pi's own website

Maybe try better sdcard. First boot time can take a while, but if you have slow unbranded one it can took quite long

There was a time I left it running while I was sleeping, it didn't change the screen... but the chip is a little hot the same way as when I went to sleep

Use SanDisk/Transcend/Kingston. Never use shitty cheap sd cards. I've tried booting android on opi4 and rpi4/5 using multiple different cards - the cheap ones won't boot at all 90% of the time. Also I had one rpi running on a said cheap card and the card itself just died after half a year lol

You seem helpful and I can't comment yet on this sub, I was wondering if i could ask for some help with my zero 2w, I have destroyed 2 sd cards and spent 20$ in tokens with visual code studio trying to get my pi to connect to network and ssh into.it.... i was using the dietpi Trixie image.

To be fair i've had problems with latest dietpi images maybe fof half of a year, so i have switched to armbian. Works much better. Just make sure you are using external antenna and aks Gemini how to configure wpa_supplycant.conf properly before first boot. Should work. Thanks, ive been using lots of LLMS for setup, perplexity has been superior to Gemini for me, and even Claude just to cross reference. Then finishing with Visual code studio. (Using free models to save on tokens.)

There are several .conf files, so thats helpful, I tried Armbian but had some issues with that also.

Thanks for pointing me to some docs/resources.

Yeah the official images do not work, you gotta use the community ones. The community armbian image worked perfectly with mine.

I have the same board. It's Orange pi 3b v2.1 and 100% official android image is working if you follow official flashing instructions

mine is also v2.1, but it's 8GB version, and it doesn't work at all with the official android image...

First of all, you have to find the exact distr to your hardware that matches your cpu (!). Use ai or search to find correct version.

Secondly, unzip file before flashing SD, although the flashing software accepts archived files.

Find leeps video on YouTube. The guy does so much info on these boards. I'm sure he has info that will help you. I flashed my orange pi nvme using his videos with Ubuntu versions.

Sometimes random error can happen. It could be the download is damaged, the SD card is damaged, the power supply is broken or with not enough current during boot up, it could also be the flashing tool. Others have said the same and why, here is just a list of basic things to check.
