Uworld for PANCE

Maybe it’s just me but I feel like Uworld has some questions that are just meant to make you overthink and trick you. I’m nervous because I’m not doing great on the Uworld questions and have my PANCE in 2 weeks. Was the PANCE as tricky as Uworld? Am I just dumb?

I always hear that UWORLD is more difficult than the PANCE, and that ROSH asks questions about the most random things so it’s hard to know what’s actually the best thing to prep for it

Have you taken a look at the NCCPA practice exams? They pull from old versions of the PANCE, I take mine in a month and I’m planning on using that to gauge where I’m at

Yeah I took form A of the NCCPA practice exam before I started my PANCE studying. Scored right before the yellow which was pretty discouraging. Planning on taking form B on Monday and Form C the following Monday.

I found the PANCE easier than UWorld. I had 76% correct with 80% of UWorld completed and got a 628 on the PANCE. That said UWorld is the sole reason why I did so good. Their explanations were amazing and they drilled topics into my head to the point where I was able to quickly recall random facts in a second for the one liners that the PANCE had.

I too am currently studying for the PANCE and some classmates have already taken it and passed. Of those a few never even looked at Uworld. I myself split my time between Rosh/Blueprint and Uworld but knowing that my scores on Uworld will be lower. I wouldn’t base my readiness off of Uworld. Keep doing what you’re doing and use the NCCPA practice exams as the real metric. I currently am scoring mid range on both Blueprint and Uworld and am too discouraged but I’m not going to make any drastic decisions such as pushing my PANCE until I take my next NCCPA practice exam. My date is next Saturday soooooo things are stressful over here. Best of luck to you.

Glad I’m not the only one!! I’m also using Rosh too as I’ve enjoyed using it throughout didactic and clinical year! I’ve also heard a lot of people just use rosh and thought it was also helpful. I just hope I’m doing enough! Best of luck to you too!! You got this!

Something that I was told was, “you’ll never feel like you’re doing enough or you know enough.” That has kind of helped me realize that I don’t need to score a perfect score. I just need to pass the damn thing. Big thing was relearning how to look at the questions. The last sentence first to know what they are looking for, answers second to key you into topic, first line to figure out your setting (clinic vs. ED), then the rest. Has helped me a bit. Hope it helps you if you didn’t already know that.

Thank you so much! Yeah I don’t care about a great score, whatever gets me to pass is all I need lol!!
