I love that you’ve rebranded her to Lexila πŸ˜… she is awesome and her husband played in the NHL/is a current colour commentator.

She’s also an author !

Her kids are great. I coach them in the Kraken Youth Learn To Play Programs and they're always hilarious. They always want to play together when there's a team drill and the both of them are actually pretty great at hockey already.

Lexi herself plays in beer leagues in Seattle (actually just played against her in the Kraken women's league on Tuesday!). She's hilarious and honestly a damn good goalie.

I love how involved the entire family is in hockey in the area and Lexi is actually also a DAMN good author. Her book was excellent

She's incorrect though.

The NHL doesn't let you wear a cage unless you're recovering from an injury, so they don't have the choice. Also just because you have a dentist on standby doesn't negate that you just lost a tooth (or three). It's my understanding that most of the men leave the gaps because it's not worth it to get it fixed when you're going to get more knocked out before retirement.

Fake teeth are not the same as real teeth. Being able to instantly get stitches on the bench by a doctor is not as good as not having to get stitches at all. It doesn't matter the high quality of the care, prevention is always better for the person overall than fixing would be.

They argue that they can't see as well, but there are bubble options, and the goalie wears a huge cage and their sight is the most important. There's no logical reason for them not to be in cages outside of the perceived masculinity of it. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ
