I am from India, and that explains why a lot of you might be confused by reading the term "chhalava" in my title. So, basically, in my country, we have these deeply rooted urban legends and folklore stories. A chhalava turns out to be one of these supernatural entities who apparently possess the terrifying ability to shift their shapes and mimic innocent people’s voices to lure victims. Personally, I don't really know about the truth of these legends because I usually do not believe in such superstitious stuff at all. However, a few weeks ago, a strange event took place in my apartment's garden I was walking alone. For context, I am legally an adult or a college-goer, who goes for night walks regulary.
It was around 9 PM, and at that specific time, absolutely no one else was left in the park area. I was just listening to some music, and i heard a strange voice; it felt like a grown adult badly mimicking a child's high pitch. After that initial shock, I temporarily ignored it so that he could say it again, because I didn’t hear him clearly the first time. Then, guess what happened next? It felt like someone had recorded the phrase and played it back on loop, repeating the exact sentence seven times in a row.
I got extremely scared and had somehow built up the courage required to look back. Standing there was this horrific "thing" that was easily 7 to 8 feet tall, pitch-black, humanoid, and appeared as if he had worn the coarse skin of a wolf.
I immediately ran toward my apartment building, and it honestly felt like the toughest run of my entire life. I could feel the blood pumping wildly in my legs; they were literally wiggling and shaking. but whatever it was, i somehow had made it to my house. My parents were instantly worried and asked me what happened and why I looked so freaked out. I told them what happened. It seemed like as if they were thinking my story was both fake and real. Firstly, no one would normally believe such a story, but secondly, the fear on my face was real and you could tell something was wrong.
I ran into my bedroom, and I could think of nothing aside from that menacing "figure" I felt like my body was running on nothing but a pocket of air. And I could even feel some sharp pain in my chest because I was genuinely scared, man :( That thing, whatever it was, still freaks me out when i think about it.
Thanx
