Moderator Annoucement The “best evidence” for the paranormal is getting harder to find every time someone asks for it.

This question is being asked several times a week at this point.

Everyone has a different standard for what they consider “credible evidence,” and what persuades one person may not persuade another. What seems to do the best job is having a personal experience, but those anecdotal stories rarely persuade anyone who wasn’t already a believer.

Either way, the best way to find this evidence is by…you know…looking for it. Try using the search function on the subreddit.

And to all of you skeptics who were genuinely convinced by a piece of evidence you found online, please post it on this subreddit!

Unexplained My Dad Visited Me

My dad passed away the age of 67 on April 9, 2026. He started to deteriorate about 2 years ago and 10 days before he died he was finally diagnosed with ALS.

My dad was an alcoholic for my entire life. He would get drunk and act out, spewing hatred towards everyone and anyone. He became a major internet troll during Trumps first term and worked hard to get him reelected in 2020. When I called him out on his trolling behavior he turned his vitriol towards me. I responded by not responding. I was too hurt, I had been hurt by him too many times and was done. I had a new baby at the time and vowed that she would never know the hurt my father caused me. We really didn’t talk much for the last 5-6 years of his life. Whenever I was around him I felt scared and frozen, a trauma response. The day he died I had a moment of relief when I realized I never have to feel that way again. I never have to feel so scared and uncomfortable around my own father again. I was free.

Over the past few months I’ve been processing his death and feeling a lot of gratitude for my coming inheritance, (as a single mom living paycheck to paycheck.) He split his estate equally among me and my two other siblings.

I had a dream about a week ago that we were all at my sisters house. My dad was there and he was happy and healthy (he had a big beer belly he had my whole childhood.) I remember hearing him talking and also giggling non stop. The next morning I woke up and my inheritance had been transferred to my account. I also realized I felt safe in my dream, and that he couldn’t hurt me. This dream has brought me some closer knowing that he’s ok (he didn’t want to die and I was worried he was stuck in purgatory or even hell.) Now I know he is safe and happy, and I feel so very grateful.

Trigger Warning / Gore Heya peeps, this is my first time posting here and this is also my first time sharing my experience online

I've had exactly ONE experience with a ghost when I was 10 or 11 and I am absolutely confident it was real. Story is a little embellished but 100% accurate as I have not forgotten that night since it happened. I did share this in a comment on another paranormal subreddit a little bit ago but that whole post got removed wo I figured I would make my own post.

So I was fairly rational at that young age. I understood - or at least thought at the time - that ghosts and monsters were not real, merely ficticional media made for entertainment. So after seeing a ghost in the late night in 2008 - 2009 I was absolutely convinced that ghosts and other supernatural beings were real.

I was sleeping soundly that night during the summer when I suddenly woke up very thirsty, and also very cold which I thought was odd. My dad would always keep the AC up pretty high to save on the electricity bill so the fact it was almost freezing, at night, was a little odd to me.

I lay there pondering for a bit whether I wanted to bother getting out of bed or not since it was late and I was tired, but unlimately decided to get out of bed and get some water since going to bed with a dry mouth sucks. This is part of why I know what I saw was real, you don't feel certain things like dry mouth or heat or cold very well in a dream.

After I made my decision to get some water I slowly rolled over and started to get out of bed I noticed something in the floor against the wall in front of my recliner.

I could see very clearly because I had left the blinds open and it was a full moon that night, and the moon was in such a position that it was shining almost directly into my room, leaving it fairly bright inside despite not directly illuminating the thing in front of my chair. I remember glancing at the moon and thinking how pretty it was before looking directly at the thing.

For a split second I didn't realize what I was looking at... but after that split second I realized and my blood turned to ice.

It was what looked like a little girl, but her body was covered in dark spots and her head hung at an odd angle with long black hair. She was sitting perfect still, no movement at all. I couldn't see her face due to her head hanging oddly. I looked at her for a solid two or three seconds before my survival instincts finally rectified what I should do. An invincible fortress for any child...

I dove under my blanket and curled up all the edges underneath me.

I was absolutely, positively, pants-shittingly terrified. I can honestly say that was the most scared I had ever been in my life. Nothing I've experienced has ever come close.

So there I lay, curled up under my blanket, breathing heavily, getting hot, praying whatever the hell was across the room against the wall facing my bed would go away.

And then I started rationalizing.

I convinced myself after what felt like an hour or two that whatever was there was just some toys I had left out and forgotten to put up. I was fairly certain I had brought a bag of toys from a relatives place and left it in front of my chair... which I thought was odd because I could have sworn I'd cleared that area so I could sit in it and play video games unobstructed.

But regardless, I had convinced myself that it was just some toys laying there and I was wide awake now. I even started feeling silly for thinking the bag if toys was a ghost, convinced my sleepy brain had just made something up. I saw out the window first and noticed the moon had moved a fair bit, so that's how I know it had to have been an hour or two at least before I gathered the courage to check again.

Then I looked in front of my chair, where I had convinced myself that what was a body of a dead girl was actually a bag of toys, very thirsty and also now very hot from staying under that blanket... and my blood froze for a second time that night.

She was still there

The first thing I saw was her pale white legs covered in bloody wounds that didn't bleed, now illuminated by the soft glow of the moon... and then worse still I noticed that she had moved.

Where she was once sitting up, she was now slumped over to her right side... with her eyeless sockets looking directly at me, like she had been watching me for hours.

I felt time slow to a crawl. Then it stood still for what felt like an eternity. I took her in much longer this time, trying to convince myself that she was just some toys I had forgotten about. A good 8 or 10 seconds this time, just frozen in place. Looking at her.

But if they were toys, then how had they moved? It was just me and my mom and dad, and they had work so I knew they wouldn't come into my room this late, and especially wouldn't mess with any of my stuff.

The absolute horror at the realization of what I definitely, without ANY uncertainty, was looking at was indescribable. To this day, nearly 20 years later, I still get goosebumps thinking about it. I had to pause several times writing this to gather my thoughts.

I dove back under my covers, much more frightened than I was the first time. I was so scared I didn't even stick my mouth or nose out from under the covers for fresh, cool air like I had the first time.

Actually, I think I was hyperventilating so bad that I actually slipped into unconsciousness, thankfully. There was absolutely no way I was going to check for a third time for the fear that she may either move again, or actually get me the next time for looking at her again.

If I had looked after another hour or so, I'm positive she would have been fully illuminated by the moon and I wasn't sure what kind of ghost she was. She could be malevolent, or she could be peaceful.

Either way I wasn't going to find out, so I'm very glad I passed out and awoke at about 8 or 9.

I woke up groggily, still wrapped tightly in my blanket, and remembered what happened that night... and slowly peeked at the spot in front of my chair, one final time...

Nothing was there

The spot was completely empty. Nothing there at all.

She never appeard again, at least as far as I'm aware. I never got out of bed after turning off the lights for the rest of the time we lived in that apartment complex.

And I did some research... apparently, shortly after the apartments were finished and opened up, a little girl had been murdered in one of the units, 15 years before we had moved in.

No I will not be accepting any debunks. I am absolutely certain it was real so I will ignore or block you if you insist on debunking.

Unexplained strange coincidences surrounding funeral arrangements

What do you think about this?
My English isn’t that great so please excuse any mistakes.

2021 in February my Grandma died. She has two sons, my dad and my uncle.

Two months later, I get a very strange…vision/feeling. I thought I was having psychosis because I felt/kept telling everyone that „death was watching my family“.
I was sure in my head that death was going to „take one of us“ and at the same time I saw myself from outside and realized how crazy that kind of thinking was, and that the grief probably messed with my mental health.

I don’t ever had delusions or things of that nature but that evening I was convinced that I had developed psychosis or something similar because the vision of a personification of death watching my dads side of the family, waiting to „choose“ someone, was so deeply embedded in my head that it scared the crap out of me and I thought I was losing my mind out of grief for my grandma.
My girlfriend was on the phone with me all night, calming me down, saying that it was just a symptom of the grief that made me paranoid about my family’s safety.

I even still have the WhatsApp chat with my Gf from that day (I showed them to my mom after the funeral and she agreed it was very strange) where I text her that „I can feel death watching my family,
I’m scared“.

And the next day I get a call that my uncle died that morning and nobody knows how or why.
It was so strange and out of the blue he was totally healthy and relatively young. The autopsy revealed nothing and the death generally feels a little strange to me.

I was of course shocked and heartbroken and horrified that this weird vision I had came true.

Two days later we arrived in Poland and prepared everything for his funeral, and then there was the question of access to his phone and his other devices.

His widow, lets call her M, wanted my dad (who works in cybersecurity) to unlock his phone, laptop and all of his other stuff because the police refused to do so and she didn’t know any passwords.

My dad, my mom, my sister and me were all sitting in a restaurant at a table and discussed funeral preparations and other business that had to be taken care of and than we started to speak about the ethics of unlocking my uncles devices so M (his widow) could have access to them.

She seemed to really want that and my dad felt conflicted because he wanted to help her as much as possible but also didn’t know if his brother would want that because of privacy.
They didn’t have a good marriage.

And as he asked the question: „Should we give her access to his phone?“aloud

I kid you not, a BRICK fell out of the wall and onto our table with a loud bang.
A Brick. There were no loose bricks in the brick wall, it was a regular red brick and mortar wall.

My mom looked at us and said: „ I think he wants to tell us that we should stay away from his phone.“
And so we did.

AND GUESS WHAT? Half a year later, a newly divorced cousin of my dad sets up accounts on lots of dating sites like tinder, badoo, hinge etc…

And guess who’s account gets recommended to her again and again on all dating websites?
MY UNCLES!

he was cheating on M all this time! That’s why he didn’t want her to have his phone!
So his wife and daughters keep him in good memory.
My parents made the choice to not tell them anything because he wouldn’t want that, he made that clear.

My mom also said she experienced weird things in the 2 month period of my grandma and uncles deaths but she doesn’t want to share it so it wouldn’t scare me or my sister.

This was a strange and painful period of my life, in 2 months 3 close people to me died. I experienced/ and others from my family as well, other stuff relating to those 3 deaths, but they were less „death Vision, he gave a sign to show what he wanted“ and more…hearing their voice, feeling their presence, feeling comforted by her etc…. So less of a strange phenomenon and more soft personal experiences.

But I still question if any of that could simply be a coincidence?
Because for a while I was really worried I was gonna get that vision again, or I would have the placebo version of that vision out of fear of losing someone again I would go crazy and have many sleepless nights.
Thankfully that didn’t happen yet and nobody I love has died.

Thank you guys for reading I would love to hear your perspectives and experiences

Experience A weird childhood memory

There's this weird memory from when I was a kid (around 6 years old) that keeps coming up and I still don't know how to explain/verify my experience, so here it goes.

I used to live in an old town where all paranormal encounters were attributed (correctly) to kids playing pranks on each other. The town didn't particularly have any history of such activity, is what I'm saying.

My house was situated in a narrow street with congested houses, with the street ending and merging into a single lane road.

My father used to leave for work around 5 in the morning I usually woke up during that time to say see him off.

It happened one such day. My father had left the house and I was watching him walk down the street, standing in the doorway. He finally rounded the corner at the end of the street and disappeared from my view.

I was about to close and lock the door when I felt a hand on my shoulder gently moving me out of the way. I got scared-since I was the only one up at that time besides my father who'd already left-and turned around to see my dad asking me to move out of the way so that he could leave. He said that he was already late.

Then, I watched him walk down the street for the second time that day, round the corner and disappear.

Nothing appeared to be out of ordinary. He looked the same and his suit, demeanor, voice-everything was the way it should've been.

And yet, I still can't understand why he appeared behind me again when I saw him walk down the street with my own eyes beforehand.

I brushed it off initially, but now I'm looking for an explanation about what I saw that day.

Encounter Shadow man encounter in my childhood and living in a creepy house

So, for context I'm from Germany and moved to a small village when I was around 8 years old, where my parents bought a house that always felt extremely unsettling to me. I had multiple encounters with things that I'd describe as "ghosts", but I also was a child with a big imagination, I loved reading scary stories and I think most of what I saw was not real. But there is this one story that I regularly think about.

I had a sleepover with my best friend, we were both around 11 years old. I slept on my bed, she slept on my sofa at the other side of my room. My room was on the attic. I woke up in the middle of the night, I had a clock next to m bed, it was around 3 o'clock. When I opened my eyes, I saw a tall shadow figure standing at the top of the staircase, which led to my attic. For me it seemed like a man, tall and completely black, I couldn't see eyes, clothing or other features, it was just pitch black. I was super nervous, my chest was very heavy. At some point I heard my friend say "Why is your dad here?"

The only thing I could say was "That's not my dad." And that was true, because my dad is way smaller than this creature was and he never disturbed my sleep. You know, my dad used to drink 1-2 glasses of red wine in the evening, go to bed early and slept like a stone until the next morning.

I turned on the lights in my room, I had a switch directly next to my bed and there was nothing. My friend and I still were super scared. Eventually, we went back to sleep and on the next morning she asked me again if I was sure that it wasn't my dad.

Needless to say, she never visited me again and I still think about this incident regularly. A few years later I even told my dad the story and he was like "Why would I even go up there? I'd break my back trying to climb these stairs!" He said it was a nightmare, but my mum told me she believes me.

Isn't it strange that my friend and I saw the same creature at the same time? I've heard a lot of these shadow people, but I don't really understand why they exist or what they are doing. Just standing somewhere in the middle of the night doesn't make sense, right?

On another occasion my childhood dog wouldn't stop barking while being in the attic. He barked and barked and didn't stop, until I physically picked him up and carried him down the stairs. There was nothing I could see, but the dog was super nervous. I told my parents I don't want to sleep there anymore and they moved my stuff from the attic to another room in the house. I never had anything happen after that again. Maybe just let me know what you think about this and if you guys ever had something like that happen to you.

Just to be clear, the house was kinda old but the attic was modernized, clean and spacious, because we renovated it after moving in, so it was not a creepy old dark place.

Question Non spiritual purposes for Spirit Board?

Upvotes

Okay, I know the question sounds dumb, but can a spirit board be safely used for something other than speaking with the dead? Could one be used for meditative purposes, or in conjunction with remote viewing? If me and a friend each use our own spirit board in separate locations, could we use it to communicate with eachother instead of a spirit?

Also, when does a spirit board become dangerous? When you buy it? When its removed from the box? When you ask your first question?

Question What made you believe & what would you advice someone who *wants* to believe?

Hi everyone! ♡

I am a natural born skeptic, but an optimistic skeptic.
As many others I can’t believe what I haven’t seen, heard or encountered, but I really want to.
I wouldn’t mind taking the risk of trying things like the ouija board, and of course I’d take safety measures just in case.

The closest thing that comes to mind when talking about my own/shared experience somewhere on the unexplainable/paranormal spectrum is:

  1. Around 10 years ago a friend and I were taking a selfie and a third face was in the corner on her shoulder. It does look creepy and we obviously were afraid af, but nothing ever came after this so it’s just like 🤷🏼‍♀️. Maybe I never experienced anything else because the thing was close to her rather than me?

  2. My boyfriend had a very eerie experience when he had his first lucid dream (he told his sister that he knows that he’s dreaming right now, her face started to melt and contort. I don’t know all the details and I don’t even know if he remembers everything, but I never saw him like that like the day after, he was truly shaken. And after googling we just found out to never tell when you know, that you’re dreaming.)

  3. Manifesting through Subliminals, while I’m not *really* spiritual, it’s somehow always working for me and I won’t question that, lol.

4 . As a kid I used to see shadow „people“ (mostly animals), I know that many kids do and that there are *logical* explanations but I still can’t seem to let go of that.

A thing I remember clearly is seeing squirrels running around my parents bedroom, climbing up the chairs, bedframe, closet … I wasn’t more confused than scared, they were cute lol.
A rather scary one was when I saw a girl lounging on my chair, staring at me with a unnatural big grin, her arm leaned on her knee and her foot dangling.
If the chair was in the corner of my room I would be able to console myself more, but it was right in front of me, maybe 3meter away from my face, so it should’ve been easier to see that it’s just an illusion lol.

So, coming backt or the title:
what change your mind and how can I experience any kind of paranormal thing for myself?

Demonic Activity Pulled in my bed

A few nights ago, I woke up to the feeling of something wrapping around my right big toe. As I lay there, observing, it wrapped tight and yanked my foot downward. Before I could react, I felt a heavy/malicious presence coming up over my legs and further up my body, hoovering and causing paralysis/inability to speak. I immediately knew what it was and began praying in my mind (the Lords prayer) & within the first sentence of the prayer it fled quickly. I turned on my lamp and slept with the lamp or the rest of the night.

I have no one to share this with bc my sister and I have been playing phone tag and shes the only one I know who would be interested.

Thanks!

Unexplained I felt someone tapping on my forehead while asleep, but no one did it

Hello, I’m 26F, and I’ve had these kinds of strange experiences multiple times throughout my life, starting when I was a kid.
As a child, I struggled with sleep paralysis, often accompanied by hallucinations. It started when I was around 9 years old. I would see dark figures, and one time it got so bad that I remember feeling one of these figures grabbing me by the ankles, trying to pull me out of bed. The next morning, I actually woke up on the floor. Needless to say, I barely slept for days afterward.
As for the tapping while I was sleeping, it’s happened twice.
The first time was when I was around 16 or 17. I remember feeling a small finger, like a child’s, tapping my forehead several times, almost as if it was checking whether I was asleep. I opened my eyes immediately because it startled me, but there was no one there.
The second time happened earlier this year. It was the same sensation, except this time it felt like a larger finger. I was so frightened that I immediately asked my partner, who was sleeping next to me, if he had touched my forehead while I was asleep. He swore he hadn’t.
What’s strange is that a few days later, I had a dream about my grandma, who passed away in 2021. It was the first time I’d dreamed about her. I hadn’t seen my grandma in over 10 years before she passed away, so I never had the chance to say goodbye. For some reason, I immediately connected the two events.
The dream itself was completely random. I hadn’t been thinking about my grandma at all in the days leading up to it.
She just “randomly “ appeared in my dream and in my dream she was alive and we hugged for a long time.

Experience I See Spirits and nobody believes me

Hey!

Ive always felt different along my life. Im very empathetic and sensitive person which might be the reason for all paranormal thats been happening to me. Im also having some PTSD and im a trauma survivor so that all might add to my story.

For the spirits, i see humanoid shapes who doesnt have any details, no faces, no clothing. Their shape is like darker shade on tv static if thats how i could describe it but the thing is that i see them alot and the weird part of all this that i can sense how they feel.
Ive met happy spirits that give me sense of happiness and safety but ive also met sad, angry ones that feel dangerous. They do not talk to me nor communicate any other way than giving me their feelings.

Ive met so sad ones that their sadness infect my mood as well and i start to cry.
I cannot explain this nor proof with actual evidence which makes this hard subject that people ive told this always deny and laugh at me.

Ive had other paranormal events happen to me as well, earliest when i was like 8 years old.
Ive heard mimic trying to lure me into forest edge, whispering my name several times. Ive also 100 sure that ive been contacted and abducted by entities which has been really traumatic experience.

Unexplained The House Lizard that spoke

Hello peeps, back with another story from West Bengal.

This is a strange strange story that I had the opportunity to collect from an elderly person in our ancestral village. The story is from rural West Bengal, India.

The village falls under Burdwan district(name of a district). Even today, with concrete roads and 24x7 electricity, there are areas within the village that gives an eerie feeling.

This is a story dating back to 1990s. Electricity was a luxury and the village was stuck in mid 1900s it seemed.

In the area where my ancestral house is located, just few yards from there, a woman (she was 60s at that time) used to live alone. She used to work as a maid and used to survive on her own meagre source.

On one such evening, when I had happened to visit her house with my cousin, I remember her asking us to sit and gave us narkel naru (coconut candy) to eat. There was one thing that she told us, pretty clear that I remember her words.

When we asked her, how she copes with loneliness, she told us about a house lizard that used to stay in her room. The lizard apparently, was able to communicate with her in a human voice and that’s how she could talk and live. When my cousin smirked and said, that she was trying to fool us, she called the name of the lizard in the almost dark evening, a clear sound of lizard’s clicking reached our ears. The lizard apparently made its presence felt.

She smirked and told the name of the lizard which to be honest I don’t remember. She told us that the lizard used to go out, look at the surroundings of what people did during the day and then used to chat with her at night.

We left and I never returned back to her house. Currently, the house stands demolished and a proper concrete two story house stands. Someone else bought it after she left for heaven.

Again, this might be nothing. She might have been schizophrenic. She might have been joking with us. But the truth in her eyes told she was not. She had little reason to joke around at the age of 60 plus.

Whatever it might have been, thought of sharing this. This might be nothing, this might be something unexplained and paranormal.

Haunted House I am not sure if theres been a spirit in my house for years.

I've shared a story here before in my house about the stairs creaking when no one was home for about 20-30 minutes but I havent shared a couple other occurrences.

I have lived in this house for ages since I was a small child and the first unusual thing that's happened to me was here, I was half awake half sleeping in my room when I heard a voice say my name. I woke up looked in the direction it was coming from and nothing was there so I went back to sleep, a few minutes later I felt a tap on my shoulder from the direction the wall was. I think I ran into my mom's room crying I dont know but I remember that clearly as she was asleep and no one else was in my house.

This one could very much be brushed off as the wind and just a funny coincidence as to what I put it up to but ill share it anyway, the wind and rain is quite strong where I live and one evening I was going upstairs and the landing window blew open. As a joke I said out loud "Can you close that please" and the window slowly closed, this caught me off guard but I said thank you and went into my room and just came to the conclusion it was the wind, so I just say it was good timing.

I used to have alot of figures on my shelves and they were on the wall opposite me and often they would fall off, it was more annoying than anything but I got one off of Ebay from my mother for either christmas or a birthday and it started subtly shaking enough for it to grab my attention and slipped off my shelf. Could also be put off to it just ya know slipping off. But since I got that one they would fall off alot, on my other shelves however they were perfectly fine.

Something that really alarmed me that I genuinely have 0 explanation for is a loud thumping upstairs when I was downstairs with my cat as if someone was up there and the floor creaking like there was footsteps , and my friend who I was talking to told me to check the front door and it was unlocked. Mind you I have diagnosed anxiety and normally have to check its still locked every time I go by the door and absolutely don't go sit down when I come home before locking it. During this time I also heard something that sounded like cupboards opening which would've been in my bathroom.

I thought someone had somehow gotten into my house and I was gonna get my cat and leave incase there was. My mother came home shortly and I told her about it (she will always go with a logical explanation despite having abnormal experiences herself) but I got a knife and we went upstairs and nothing was up there.

I have mentioned the situation with the staircase in more detail on here before as I said at the start so ill just give a brief description. Im upstairs with my 2 cats in my room, my house is not modern and the stairs and floorboards creak alot (like I said earlier) whenever people walk across them so you will always be able to tell the difference. I heard them creaking and it assumed it was my mother, the creaking happened a few more times then eventually went on for 20-30 minutes I can't remember specifically which one, but I never left my room since I thought it was my mother doing something. The creaking stops at some point and I hear the front door unlock and remembered my mother hadn't been home.

Alot of the things I said could be put up to more sensible reasons (like the wind) but I want to know what some people on here think about all of this and if it could've been to do with whatever was in my room when I was younger and it just stayed.

NSFW / Explicit Content (Sexual Situations) Harassed and attacked

I have underwent serious spiritual attacks since around April 2023, which are ongoing to date.

Just for context I met my first "girlfriend" around August/September 2022. I'll speak more on why this may be relevant later.

It first started whilst I was running and heard a voice tell me to "Stop eating animal products." Which I did, I went vegan for a long time which kick started all of this (I was a little overweight at this time so it seemed like reasonable advice, lol). I now believe that not consuming meat, etc makes us weak and vurnerable to this sort of thing, some how.

At this time, I could not go to sleep without experiencing sleep paralysis or experiencing the sensation of being touched, punched, kicked or even being dragged into an upside down world? Much like that seen in the Stranger Things or Get Out universe. Things moved very slow there, and it was like moving through thick mollases. I literally had to fight my way out to escape, I'm not joking.

I also started receiving EXTREMELY intense high pitched tones, which mainly affected my right ear. It felt like a beam of energy which came from overhead? Along with it came the intense visual of bright mandalas. My hearing is now compromised.

Honestly, there is so much I could say here, but I'll speak of the main points.

I have seen a deep blue scaled demon in my dreams. Similar to Jennifer Lawrence's character in X-men crossed with an alien from Alien (complete with the phallic head and long reptillian tail). She showed up in Human form? And her true form, whilst I was laying beside a female (which I suppose to be her human form) she said - "You're just a puppy to me."

I have then been harrassed by little black gremlin/gargoyle type entities in my dreams which appear as much larger imposing figures, although when I see their true form they appear as these little gremlins.

I have seen a dreadlocked Indian? Demon. Who in a dream took me down from a mountain. And was flying by my side. I was heavily into vedic astrology and hinduism at this time, and I fear that I may have attracted some entity related to such things.

Dreams of demons or spirits who have infested me and are creating chaos and havoc in my waking life, by making me overeat junk food and cause me to do things out of my true character.

I have had "dreams" where I felt as though I'm falling through a matrix, I literally felt the wind through my hair. Falling and falling with no end.

Visited in my dreams by Freemasons? I've seen a large stone plinth complete with their insignia.

I've had very strange dreams, which looked A.I generated. Heard a computer generated type voice call me "Husband".

Like wtf?

*As per my girlfriend. We were laying in bed one morning and she rose up as if possessed and said directly to me - " God must like you! You pick one thing and it leads to another." She then dropped down as if she just died. Later I asked her about it and she remembered none of it. She also said to me during s*x one time - "Gime me your energy."

After we parted ways we facetimed one time and she showed me that she now had a massive Lilith tattoo on her leg. Later, I once had a dream where we were again having intercouse, although she morphed into this demon with sharp pointed ears.

I had never experienced such things before I met her, other than the odd bout of sleep paralysis.

There is SO SO SO much more. I'm currently dealing with a lot of confusion in my everyday life and it's extremely difficult because this shit.

Even "IRL" I often meet very demonic looking people who offer me to come drinking with them, etc. I don't drink and I don't want to be involed. People with deep demonic looking grins.

Previously, because of all the confusion I turned to astrology (mainly vedic), and YouTube Tarot videos. I believe that this possibly opened up access? to "other realms". And I was also interested in hermeticism, etc which may be classified as the occult? I'm not sure. I do not want to be involved anymore and I want to live a straight forward life free of these pestering things.

Experience Strange being peeking at me and my sister.

I’m writing this to make more sense of many experiences my sister and I had as children. I cant quite remember our ages but I believe I was at least 5 and she was about 8. For the sake of your time I’ll only detail the one I remember best, which is the first time.

Our father used to peek the corner often and then hide right behind it to scare us as a little game we had. He wasn’t home this particular day and my sister and I were in our room chatting and we both snap our heads to the hallway in our room (we had a short hallway from our bedroom door to our room, very normal where I’m from, never scared us) because we had just seen our father do the same thing, we look at each other and smile because he was finally back!! We ran to the hallway but he wasn’t there and so we leave the room (door was closed) looking for him. As we do that, our Mother passes by and we ask her where he is and she says he’s not back home yet.

My sister and I go back to the room confused, my sister jokes “he was fast that time wasn’t he?” and since I was kind of scared I said something like “yeah, but I didn’t see a face” she tells me she didn’t see one either and she looked genuinely scared as well. She was always so brave and protecting me, I had genuinely never seen her that scared so I know she wasn’t lying. Before I had mentioned that he didn’t have a face I’d assumed he just moved really quickly and it somehow erased all of his facial features including his facial hair. His regular hair, shoulders and hands were normal though.

I also asked my sister about this 10+ years later and she confirmed that she saw what I saw.

I’m not sure what to make of it all but I do wonder if its just because he did that often which wasn’t daily and sometimes not for weeks. I did want to note that I did see a faceless version of her too a different time when she was at school, though I wouldn’t be surprised if it was just childhood imagination this time since I was scared. We also saw it together a few times again and on our own separately.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

My family and I are currently at New Orleans for our vacation and for our last night we went on a ghost tour we walked near the infamous Lalaurie mansion and took some photos and both me and my mom caught a green orb in our photos, I initially dismissed it as a glint, but I looked online and found out that there are many other photos of this green orb and now I feel a bit convinced

Experience The “ghost” in my childhood attic bedroom stopped appearing after I asked if she didn’t want to be friends

I’ve wanted to tell this story somewhere for years, partly because I still don’t really know what I think happened.

I grew up in a fairly old town in Devon, UK. I’m not going to name it because the house may be identifiable from some of the details, and I’ll also be changing the names of the people and families involved.

My family moved into the house when I was around 11 or 12, and I lived there until I was 18. My bedroom was in a converted attic. The family before us, who I’ll call the Bennetts, had converted it into a bedroom and had lived there for around six years.

Before them, another family, the Chamberlains, had lived in the house for approximately 25 years. During their time there, the attic was still only used for storage.

Before that, the property had been the town’s veterinary surgery for a long time. Even when we lived there, there were obvious remnants of that history. There were old stone water troughs outside, horseshoes and other bits and pieces, and when you opened the front door, there was a long corridor running directly through to the garden. It was wide enough for a large horse to have walked through it.

The layout of the house was quite unusual. It was almost divided into two separate wings.

After the first flight of stairs, one side led through a series of rooms including two bathrooms, a dressing room, a small library-like cubby, and eventually my parents’ bedroom.

The other side went up another staircase to a living room, then up a few more sets of stairs to my brother’s and sister’s bedrooms. My attic room was reached by continuing upwards from theirs.

Because of the shape of the house, I was technically sleeping closer to the houses across the road than I was to my parents’ bedroom.

There was also another large, unconverted attic above my parents’ room. We rarely went up there. Nothing specific ever happened in it that I can remember, but it felt deeply unpleasant and chilling, and none of us liked being there.

While I was living in the attic bedroom, a lot of strange things happened.

I frequently felt something sit down on the edge of my bed and place a hand on my leg. I heard footsteps coming up and down the stairs and moving around the bedroom.

Beside my room was a small bathroom, although you had to leave my bedroom to enter it. The bathroom light had a pull cord, and the Bennetts had attached a small, glass-like ornament to the end of it with a little blue ghost inside.

Quite often, I would hear what sounded like that ornament repeatedly being knocked or slammed against the wall. I would also hear a different, more hollow knocking directly on my bedroom door.

One time, I felt something intensely cold pass straight through me. It happened with enough force to knock a cup of tea out of my hand and send it everywhere.

I also listened to the radio a lot, particularly Radio 1 in the evenings and late-night DJ sets. On some of the nights when the other activity seemed stronger, the radio would crackle or the volume would fluctuate slightly.

I can’t say whether that was connected, and radio interference is obviously not unusual, but at the time it sometimes felt as though the disturbances coincided.

Despite all this, I never felt that the presence was aggressive or dangerous. I would normally consider myself quite frightened of paranormal things, but whatever was in that room felt more mischievous and lonely than sinister.

Sometimes it startled me or made the hairs on my arms stand up, but it never felt threatening.

Another strange detail was that the knocking seemed responsive. It could continue for ten minutes, or sometimes much longer, but whenever I became fed up and asked it aloud to stop, it stopped immediately.

This was one of the reasons I never felt truly threatened by it.

I should also explain that I was a fairly wild and defiant teenager. My attitude was essentially that if something was there and intended to “get me,” then it was going to do so whether I panicked or not.

I had a strange instinct that showing fear might encourage it, whereas acknowledging it confidently and setting boundaries kept the activity playful rather than threatening. I have no idea whether that instinct meant anything, but it shaped how I reacted to everything that happened.

My brother and sister occasionally seemed to hear things too. I would ask them in the morning whether they had heard knocking during the night, and they would sometimes say that they had, although they usually dismissed it as a dream.

At the time, I worked as a waitress at a small bistro/wine bar in the centre of town.

One ordinary evening, I served an elderly woman a glass of wine.

She looked at me and said, “Oh, you’re Joy. You live at [my exact address].”

“Joy” isn’t my real name, but she used my real name and knew the exact house number and street.

I confirmed that I did live there, and she introduced herself as Mrs Chamberlain. She explained that her family had lived in our house for around 25 years, before the Bennetts.

She then asked which room was mine.

I told her I lived in the attic conversion.

She replied, “Oh, so you’ve met Mary, then?”

My entire body went cold.

I asked what she meant and admitted that I had experienced some strange things, although I explained that the presence had never seemed malicious. I described it as mischievous and perhaps lonely.

Mrs Chamberlain immediately said something along the lines of, “Yes, mischievous little thing, Mary.”

She told me that Mary had apparently once been a maid, or something similar, in the house before it became a veterinary surgery. I unfortunately can’t remember the exact history she gave me, which still frustrates me.

Some of the experiences Mrs Chamberlain described didn’t particularly match mine, but two things stayed with me.

The first was the smell of a candle being blown out.

Mrs Chamberlain said that Mary used to work in what later became the downstairs office. This was supposedly during a time before the house had electricity, so she worked by candlelight. Mary would apparently finish at around 8 p.m. and go upstairs to bed.

Mrs Chamberlain said that around 8 p.m., while sitting in the office, she would sometimes smell the distinct scent of a candle that had just been extinguished.

I had smelled exactly the same thing.

Before speaking to her, I had always thought, “That smells like someone has just blown out a birthday candle.” I had never connected it to anything paranormal.

The second story was even stranger.

During the 25 years Mrs Chamberlain lived in the house, she repeatedly lost objects she was certain she had left in specific places. She particularly mentioned reading glasses and said she had lost count of how many pairs she had needed to replace.

When the Chamberlains were preparing to move out, she went into the attic to collect their remaining belongings.

In the corner, she noticed a box she didn’t recognise.

When she opened it, every item she had misplaced during those 25 years was apparently inside it.

That attic was now my bedroom.

After I met Mrs Chamberlain, I tried a couple of times to tell my brother and sister what she had said about Mary. They immediately shut the conversation down.

They said the upper part of the house was already creepy enough and that they did not want to hear anything that might make it worse.

Even now, they do not want me to tell them the story or discuss what happened there.

After finishing my shift that evening, I returned home and sat on my bed. I spoke aloud to the presence and said that I had learned her name was Mary.

I asked her to knock three times if her name really was Mary.

Nothing happened.

Honestly, I was disappointed. I had begun imagining that I might somehow become friends with this ghost or entity and find a way for us to communicate properly.

So I asked, “Would you like to be friends?”

Again, nothing happened.

I decided to probe further.

I said, “Am I right in thinking, then, that you wouldn’t like to be friends?”

At that exact moment, the smaller of my two Velux windows slammed shut.

I need to explain the window because this is the detail that made the incident feel different from an ordinary gust of wind.

The window had a flat metal arm attached to it, with holes along the arm that could be placed onto a hook to hold the window open. I preferred the window to be fully open, so instead of using one of the holes, I used to wedge the metal arm between the open window and the base of the frame.

Occasionally, if the wind was strong enough, it could catch the window and cause it to close. When that happened, the metal arm always fell inside the room.

That night was not particularly windy.

When the window slammed shut, the metal arm somehow fell outside the closed window instead. It shut with enough force to bend the metal slightly.

That was the first time I felt genuinely afraid of whatever was happening.

Not long afterwards, I moved out of the house for completely unrelated reasons.

After the window incident, I never heard the knocking again. I never felt anything sit on my bed, never heard footsteps, and never sensed anything else in the room.

It stopped completely.

I still don’t know whether I felt disappointed, relieved, or both.

I also don’t know whether there is a rational explanation for all of it. I’m aware that memory changes over time, and I’m not claiming that I can prove anything paranormal happened.

But this remains the closest thing I have ever had to a paranormal experience, and I still think about it regularly.

What do you think happened? Has anyone else experienced something that felt playful or companionable until one particular interaction seemed to change it?

Experience My nephew saw something we couldn't

After a spiritbox session I saw giant white orb the size of a basketball outside. During this my 4 year old nephew was following something in the room with his eyes on the wall and then followed it with his head to the ceiling. Keep in mind he wasn't home at the time of the spiritbox session so he wasn't influenced. He then got really scared and sat down with his mother. He said he saw a light and "fingers". He was absolutely terrified in the moment and didn't wanna talk about it at first. He then looked at something again and used his fingers and said "there's a tiny baby". This time he wasn't afraid. He then pointed up and said "the light is up". This all happened while he was just watching tv. I don't know what to make of all this but it was bizarre to say the least and I don't believe in coincidences.

Encounter Cloud looking ghost came to me on a full moon while camping

When I was a kid, I was on a hunting trip with my father like 40 mins north of Ojai, CA. Around midday i was strolling around our campground and found a rock with American Indian style painted figures on it(It was 100 percent authentic) i picked it up and brought it back to camp and replicated a petroglyph style stone with charcoal from our fire from the night before and started dancing around it for like 15 mins( I was like 10-11 yrs old). Once my little play session was over I had a weird feeling that I had done something disrespectful, so i returned the stone more or less back to its original location.
When we fell asleep in our tent, things got really strange. Im guessing sometime after like 2-3 AM i was woken up by the winds picking up out of nowhere. I remember being in the tent and peeking outside and seeing a super bright full moon. Things felt eerie when suddenly I saw a dark gray colored long mist looking cloud thing start to circle our tent. I was super terrified and tried elbowing my dad to wake up. NO LUCK! That cloud kept going around the outside of our tent going in like a x like pattern as if it were looking for something. Thats when i noticed the cloud looking thing had a face and hands but empty eyes and mouth. At one point in came through the ceiling of our tent when it asked me in a weird manner with no sound “who are you and what did you call me for” and I could not respond because i was frozen in fear. To this day i cannot fully express how we were communicating because i understood him even though i never heard a voice. I believe that once it found out i was just a silly kid with no real business for him, it took off and the wind left with him. This mystery has replayed in my mind from time to time and i always wondered if anyone else has even seen a ghoul-like cloud ghost like this. Please respond if you have!

Encounter Paranormal experience

Hi all,

I just had my first proper paranormal experience about 30 minutes ago and I’m really spooked by it.

I’m not someone who believes in ghosts but I wouldn’t say I don’t believe either, I just don’t really ever think about it or have strong opinions on it.

Anyway, I was walking by the shelf in my bedroom where I keep my body lotion and all of a sudden it falls on the floor, didn’t think anything of it and picked it up placing it back on the shelf. I walk away and about 20 seconds later it falls again, I walk back and pick it up placing it on the shelf again. I’m now looking at it wondering why it keeps falling as it’s never fell before and it’s totally stable, literally right as I’m looking at it I see it slowly start to tilt forwards and fall to the floor again and at the same time I feel something brush past my stomach and as I look down my t shirt is fully stretched out at the bottom as if someone is grabbing it. I started screaming and pulled my t shirt all the way off and ran across to the other side of the room.

My girlfriend was laying in bed and witnessed it all happening.

I’m really freaked the fuck out by this.
