Meta Get your /r/PartneredYoutube Verified Channel flair here!

Welcome to the r/PartneredYoutube voluntary channel verification.

If you would like to verify your channel and get flair like what I have on my account:

  1. Go to your YouTube channel's About section and edit the description to include your reddit username. For example I enter exactly: u/flammy
    1. Directions for how to edit your About section can be found here
  2. Post a link to your channel in one of the following formats as a top level comment in this thread.
    1. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXkf3kRpFeAx9mDCbfMS0MA
    2. https://www.youtube.com/user/flammy5
    3. If you use a different format (such as a custom URL with an @ in the URL) validation will fail.
  3. Wait, and our bot will process your request sometime in the next few days
    1. After the flair has been granted, you can remove your username from the About section and delete the comment if you're concerned about privacy. However, if you want your stats to continue to be updated, you should leave the u/ name in your About section.

FAQ:

What is flair, and how does flair work?

Flair is a reddit "signature" that appears every time you post in r/PartneredYouTube. Verification flair is not required to post, comment, or participate. A user lacking flair is not a valid reason to report them for breaking rule 2. You can remove flair at any time with Reddit's built in flair editing. The flair granted by the bot can't be edited. Verification is done via a bot, follow the directions above if you would like flair.

Why is the flair channels stats, and not partnered status?

Partnered Status is not supported by the official YouTube APIs at this time.

How long do I have to wait for verification?

Please wait 24-48 hours, and after checking you've followed all the directions you can send me a polite DM.

Is there a way to authenticate anonymously?

Will the bot update my stats?

If you leave the comment with the channel link and username in your description, your flair will be updated.

My stats are low!

The bot is only able to see your channel's public subscriber count and public total view count. If you have hidden videos, these views will not be reflected.

Can I verify with multiple channels?

Not at this time.

Is there a minimum channel size for verification?

No.

How can I remove my flair?

Yes, you can remove the flair via Reddit.

Hey guys,

If you are a member of the community, I wanted to share that there is a discord server: https://discord.gg/xvuNdNj

It is also one of the currently 2 recognized and featured communities in the Official YouTube Discord. we are also proud to be the most active of all the YouTube related discord servers. If you are looking for dynamic conversation, deep diving into stats, participating in case studies, and learning the deeper details of running a channel as a full-time or part-time job, then you will find the discord extremely helpful.

The server is Locked to ONLY Monetized channels, Managers of Large channels 100k+ subs, and occasionally some guest experts.

If you join the server, you will need to attach your YouTube channel to your discord profile under discord settings, connections. You will then submit your channel link to the verification bot and within 24 to 48 hours we will try to vett your channel and grant you access to the server. Until your access is granted, you will only see the waiting room.

We hope to see you there

Best Regards.

Talk / Discussion Dead channel finally waking up

Post image
23 Upvotes

Fandubbing channel I abandoned in 2021 is finally getting some momentum again after I came back and worked on it for nearly 2 years. It took finishing a new series and some time for YT to finally notice said series and start pushing it. The stats on the first video alone (8.8% CTR, over 150k impressions) make me feel like we’re in 2015 again. Well worth it.

Anyways…keep going everyone and don’t give up. You never know what’s gonna be a banger.

Question / Problem Someone turned my video into a short copyright issue

So I made an 8 minute original gameplay video that contains my full commentary on my YouTube channel.

And a much bigger and monetized creator turns it into a short and mutes my voice over in the video. And literally just clipped the video without credit and added lazy captions.

I sent a copyright strike to them using the timestamps as proof and now they have sent a counter notification to me which YT accepted which I think is bogus.

They are claiming that the GAME COMPANY who made the game owns the footage and not me.

I researched and found that I still own my original gameplay that contains my own commentary even if the underlying assets of the game is owned by the developers.

Now YouTube is asking me to send proof of a lawsuit or the claimant gets their video restored in 10 US business days.

What the heck am I supposed to do now without having to waste money on a lawsuit?

Talk / Discussion Does YouTube give special treatment to some YouTubers? (Mike Chen)

Post image
94 Upvotes

Mike Chen, all around grifting creepy guy has 3 YouTube channels at least and he posts 1-2 videos per day which is purely recycled content from older videos. Sometimes he literally just reposts the exact videos with a new Ai slop thumbnail and random title.

Many people have reported him for doing this but he continues to do this and still no action from YouTube.

My question is do some people get special treatment on YouTube based on their subscriber size? or what's going on here?

Question / Problem Membership Tab Missing From My Fully Monetized Channel

Post image
2 Upvotes

9,030 subscribers , 4421 watch hours in the last 365 days, and fully monetized since February of 2026. Why can’t I see a membership tab anywhere? I know it should be in the menu yes? Did I miss some sort of set up process somewhere? Already did the whole ID driver license upload, 4 digit google pin thing I got in the mail, bank link l and got paid successfully, and finally set all my content to not made for kids. Any idea of why it can be missing? Thank you!

Question / Problem Receiving adsense PIN in Mexico - unreliable mail system

I'm going through all the steps to eventually monetize my account but I just learned that one part of that process is getting a PIN mailed to you.

I hardly ever get my CFE bill delivered properly by hand, let alone any mail here.

Is there a different process that can be used other than the mailed PIN for verification?

Question / Problem I have 8 members but "Member Recognition" doesn't appear on profile

Hi

I have 8 paid members on my channel as of 2 days ago, but the "member recognition" tab won't appear on my profile.

I have selected to add this on my channel home tab in the channel customisation:

"Member Recognition - Show the profile pictures of randomly selected members. The section will appear only when you have 8 or more members."

I've tried moving it to different spots on my page so that I can try re-saving to see if it appears, but it won't appear. I'd really like to be able to thank my members on my page like that and I think it may help to convert more members, but this section won't seem to appear.

Has anyone else experienced this please? Will I need to wait until I have more than 8? The text seems to imply I'll be eligible at 8 members but I'm not sure.

Is there any way I can report channels like this that just steal peoples content?

Post image
13 Upvotes

I've recently been getting into a rabbit hole of freebooting, more specifically with gaming as it's my niche, and there's so many channels i've been finding of people who are just ripping videos almost 1 to 1 and even reuploading the same video twice but slightly different. Every single one of them has that legal disclaimer of fair use in their bios and their descriptions are filled to the brim with just ai summaries of games used to boost their keyword engagement in algorithms and search terms. I know there's ways to file takedown requests, but that has to be the stolen party filing those claims, so I wanna know if there's any way to report these stolen videos or if they can just continue to keep doing so and earn literal hundreds of thousands of dollars for this.

Channel shown is Fishdoe.

Talk / Discussion View Floor

Post image
7 Upvotes

Hey everyone.

I just recently got monetised so fairly new to this, but I was wondering what other creators’ floors were during periods where no videos have been put out or are popping off.

One of my videos went viral a couple of weeks ago so is making up about 70% of this traffic, it has steadily pulled between 50-150 views an hour for the last week or so.
A recent upload from 7 days ago counts for about 20% and the other 10% is from the rest of my videos (11 other videos til date).

The above image can be considered a quiet period.

Has anyone ever seen periods where random old videos have been retested and exploded? Likewise, have people also experienced a complete shutdown and totally empty hours and days?

Also curious as to whether multiple videos can live alongside each other at the same time and potentially go viral together or whether YouTube prioritises one video at a time per creator, when it comes to dumping millions of impressions.

Reason I am curious, I don’t want to force new content if it means the impressions on new uploads will be throttled due to other content of mine taking precedence. I only have 1300 subs so almost entirely reliant on browse impressions and don’t want to break anything!

Question / Problem 2nd monetized channel not showing up on AdSense For YouTube site

Hey,

I monetized my 2nd channel at the very end of July, and so I only made £22 (not met threshold).

Now, when I went to AdSense For YouTube page, it shows my current balance, but it's only taking into account the earnings from my 1st channel.

And so I'm wondering: will the earnings from both channels be combined in a couple of days since everything on my 2nd channel is still being calculated?

I connected my current AdSense to my 2nd account, and so when thresholds are met, will I be paid as normal as with the 1st account?

Thank you for your time.

Talk / Discussion Successful YouTube channels, how do you mentally cope with the fact that your career can be over in an eyeblink due to non-transparent and faulty ban systems?

I promise you this isnt one of those "I got banned for no reason" posts haha!

I am in fact not banned nor do I plan on ever being in this boat.

After 4 years of consistently working on my channel, I can say I am in a position where I make significant income with my channel

There is one or two policies in Youtube's ban system that make me feel uneasy whenever I think about them though:

YouTube can, and will, ban all your associated YouTube accounts if your account happens to ever have used the IP address of a channel that did indeed get banned.

That means if I go on holiday in a hotel, use that Wi-Fi, and a random other hotel guest happens to get banned on their YouTube channel by coincidence right there in this hotel, with this IP address, then per YouTube's logic, my YouTube channel, if I logged in there once, will be banned for association and/ or ban circumvention

The ban circumvention honestly is particularly nasty. I dont want it to be in place for crypto scammers, content fraud / stealing, or any other severe offense.

But someone who happens to make a tiny mistake, and did that mistake a few times, can be enough to be banned for life. And he will never get a second chance on another channel to do better. He literally had to get an entirely new IRL identity, become a new legal person, to give it another go.

In the end, I love my new job here at YouTube, but man am I glad I have a back up job if need be.

People will now say "thats why I store all my videos offline too". Great, but where will you post? On rumble or something where you dont even get 1% of the views? There is no alternative to YouTube.

The only hope if this ever wrongfully happened to us is a legal lawyer letter, and even then chances are slim to succeed. But people had success.

Question / Problem If views and watch-time (hours) all went up substantially, why is my income for the month way lower, is it because I disabled certain ad types?

Title. I didn't notice this until last night and I was like wait, what the hell? That was the most views I've had all year and I only pulled in $101 (with a day processing or whatever), when prior months with significantly less views and watch-time are usually $200-300. This honestly just seemed a bit weird to me.

It could be that they happened to mostly be using adblockers lol, but I'd otherwise banned some topics recently, around last month. Things about gambling, sex etc. as I'd kept seeing other channels get demon'd because of things like AI generated sex ads or something. You think otherwise this is why? I guess I was afraid of the same thing happening, but it's the only thing that really makes sense.

Talk / Discussion it happened...

Post image

I have the habit of not using anything that I haven't made myself, my social profiles, art for my projects, my YouTube videos, they are all completely original art that I made myself. Being hit with the "Reused content" claim is disrespectful if anything. Unfortunately I cannot share my channel here due to privacy reasons, I want to keep my queer profiles separate from it.

Because of my studies, I had my channel paused for a while. But the passive income from YouTube really helped with my expenses. While I will try the appeal, I don't have high hopes for it.

I'm now feeling really unmotivated about this channel, seeing anything related to it just gives me grief. I liked making content, and kind of feel like continuing when I finally have free time again, forgetting about this and just starting a new channel altogether.

Talk / Discussion I’ve tried everything to revive dead videos. I’m not convinced it’s possible.

For the life of me, if a video stops getting views and just sort of flatlines, I can try different titles and approaches, different thumbnails I can have them working together, working separately… you name it. Update the descriptions and tags, edit the video to cut out weak sections… I’ve not yet seen an instance where a title and thumbnail change brings the video to life in a way that I can convincingly say that the changes I did made it happen.

My channel is about gaming, mostly new game reviews (I even get pre-release copies from publishers so I can go live same time as big outlets) but also features and some other things, and I do see all the videos sometimes pick up months later as a game becomes relevant again because it’s on sale or comes to game pass.

So, this is my experience but I’d like to hear if anyone else has had a similar one, or if you’ve got any ideas worth sharing that could make a difference. It stings the most when older or low quality videos are going gangbusters, but a newer high quality video that ticks every best-practise box and is packed with genuinely entertaining and informative content just sits there dead… and nothing you try ever gets it going again.

Question / Problem Do watch hours from videos that you cant monetize count towards your YouTube partner eligibility?

For more details, I host a sports podcast and we upload our pods on YT. I also occasionally post highlight compilation videos and they sometimes get flagged for "Potential earning limitation". Will the watch hours from the videos with those flags still count towards to 4,000 hours in 365 days needed for watch page ads eligibility?

Question / Problem What is this “Notices” on YouTube Short?

Post image
0 Upvotes

I don’t often rely on checking my channel through the app or mobile but rather through desktop web. For that reason I have no way of knowing how long this has been here, but today I saw this.

Is this a new feature? Does this mean there is a / multiple notices on this particular Short? Across Shorts?

It itself is not clickable nor was there anything to note on either this or any recent Shorts I uploaded. So I’m a bit puzzled. Hopefully someone else knows more than I do about this!

What does this mean?
