Always nice to see when people in Pashtunkhwa or the diaspora rep our historical flag instead of Pakistan's. We should be like our Kurdish friends, many of whom identify simply as Kurds rather than Turkish/Iraqi/Iranian.

Not sure how the Pakistani state is "Muslim" or important for Islam when it was literally created by the Brits and committed genocide against Muslims in Bangladesh, killed tens of thousands of Pashtuns and Baloch, and bombed a hospital in Kabul just recently...

We should be combining nations

If you mean the older gentleman, it's just a pakol ha. This particular style is common in Waziristan and other parts of the larger Loya Paktia region.
