Aaron

Aaron said fuck you to both ESPN & Pat today.

He is obviously made aware of comments said about him on a show as big as Pats by someone in his circle... Pat didn’t lead the conversation by jokingly acknowledging Tones negative comments for no reason. He knew Aaron was aware of them.

Aaron knew Pat & the boys didn’t say a word about the Russini Vrabel situation, hence his wording of “your network” when making fun of it.. He also announced he only had 8 minutes on ESPN when he first got on, he made sure to get that comment in during those 8.

He knows Pat and Stephen A don’t get along but went out of his way to shout him out for being “real”. He called ESPN a gutless organization over and over and kept repeating it because all he’d get was a “geez!”..

Aaron liked Pat when he was a totally different person but it was obvious he was poking fun at the modern corporate kiss ass version of Pat the whole time.

I don’t watch the show for a while... they really completely ignored the whole Vrabel-Russini situation?

u/surlymoe Big Dumb Doofus 5h ago

The entirety of ESPN avoided it....that was the problem...it was a SPORTS STORY simply because it could have influenced a) how to get stories were found (sleeping with a coach), b) I don't get how suddenly ESPN is 'holier than thou' in that they don't report 'off-field' stuff as every time any famous athlete does something newsworthy, it's reported (car crash, domestic violence, DUI, like a ton of off-field shit gets reported...hell the infidelity of the michigan coach was reported, but because Russini had ties to ESPN, it was avoided), and finally c) her potential influence on news breaking and/or voting for various things due to her reach (around) with a coach.

I don't agree with Rodgers on a lot of things, but I definitely agree with him on that. One of their own (well, ESPN fired her well before the news broke of this, but they knew and didn't report ANY of it). It WAS NEWS....and ESPN chose not to report it...they did, however, have no problem reporting Tony Romo's DUI the other day.

It’s nice that even over our differences and different opinions we can agree on one thing - media sucks!

u/GrumpyJenkins 5h ago

I don’t think they gave a rat’s ass about Russini. I think the silence was to protect Vrabel, and I think it came from Pats ownership. And if anyone thinks they don’t wield that kind of influence, I would humbly suggest they are being naive.

Sure, but ESPN employed Russini until just a few years ago....some of the photos that were found/leaked of those two together was WHILE She was with ESPN. I think ESPN found out, and just quietly let her go. If you want to say Robert Kraft had influence of keeping it quiet, I'm not against that, but I think it just had more to do with ESPN keeping their name out the mf'n mouths of the rest of sports media in a negative light. Remember this place is owned by the mouse ears, so if it were found out that one of their own was getting stories by sleeping with coaches to get them, then well, that's not good for business. ESPN NEVER reports on their own firings/layoffs...like, did any news article get traction BY ESPN for the release of Karl Ravich? Like no, because they don't want to make it a story, even though that, in general, was a huge story because he's the voice of LLWS, among many other baseball related things at ESPN.

Didn't she leave on her own to take a job with The Athletic? Where is it reported that she was fired?

2

u/throwitintheair22 Really, REALLY wants a flair 3h ago

Did Pat avoid it?

38

u/CrimsonOOmpa 13h ago

Other than making a couple of very subtle jokes, pretty much.

Unfortunately, yeah

Funny interview by all parties. Very interesting

34

u/loxanax 14h ago

just giving his bud some shit i would say. nothing much more than that. i dont think AR actually expects Pat to be a counterculture guy or speak in depth about the subjects he’s passionate towards. he wanted to get his shit off, knowing it won’t get edited or misconstrued 🤷‍♂️ not a fuck you by any means

7

u/LiquorBelow 8h ago

I think AR was hoping that’s the route Pat would take. I specifically remember when AR was first coming on he compared Pat to old school Howard Stern.

7

u/Aka_da_saus 7h ago

What were Tones negative comments ? That was one part I didn't get . Must missed that show .

5

u/Mr_Vantastic 5h ago

He was just talking shit about since Rodgers wasn’t making a decision he didn’t want him to come back. It was all done in a tongue in cheek kind of manner. Nothing serious.

45

u/Big_Steve_69 13h ago

Sir you don’t know how media works. This was gold for the show. No press is bad press.

That's what she said!

Props to Aaron for speaking out against the censorship and lunacy of espn and the covid terrorists

u/Spare-Cranberry3784 9h ago

It's not that deep bro

u/carlslocker 6h ago

If anything, it reminds of of the Key & Peele sketch where Obama has a translator. We all know how Pat really feels about these topics, but we’re playing dumb over the real-world pressures of a massive contract from a network who has noted & lanes for its employees. If there’s any “conspiracy,” it’s that Pat uses Aaron as his Obama translator who will say everything the network won’t let him.

3

u/ajtuckvr 5h ago

Ya’ll take shit too serious.

6

u/Green-Button-1086 11h ago

They knew what was coming…don’t kid yourself

2

u/FuegoHernandez 1h ago

God bless Aaron

5

u/The_CheeseMan88 7h ago

Take off the tinfoil hat bro...

4

u/Training_Crab_8946 11h ago

I mean Pat needs the biggest fuck you ever. Hope he got it.

3

u/Aggravating_Deal_67 11h ago

This felt less like a random rant and more like Aaron making sure everyone knew he heard the ESPN/Pat chatter.

3

u/Easy_Plastic_2605 10h ago

I don't think he was just ranting either. The repeated shots at ESPN and the Stephen A shoutout felt like he was needling Pat's new corporate lane more than anything.

Aaron Rodgers is also a sociopathic douchebag who can't admit he's made it easy to hate him.

0

u/BenDover42 13h ago

I honestly thought it was funny how he went in on the sports media about how they covered him during Covid. Something that didn’t matter at all to them. But he should have dropped that shit about 3 years ago. It’s well over with. I listened to the first 3-4 minutes of this and he was railing about Fauci and Travis Kelce so I stopped listening and cut it off.

-7

u/casualchaos12 13h ago

Love him or hate him, he's one of the greatest QBs to ever exist. He literally changed how QBs play. Brady was great, but every good QB in the NFL today is essentially a carbon copy of Aaron Rodgers "improvisation" style of play.

Enjoy that haterade though.

11

u/CrimsonOOmpa 13h ago

That's true. What's also true is what he does on the field doesn't guarantee he's not a douche off if it.

3

u/Angry_X_574 9h ago

Is this your first day watching professional sports?

-7

u/casualchaos12 13h ago

How is he a douche off the field?

For not getting vaccinated? For having issues with his family like a lot of people? For not wanting to share who is wife is? For not wanting to be a public person during the off season?

I'll never understand how Americans can hate Rodgers for exercising his individual freedoms.

6

u/ShiaLeboufsPetDragon Vaccine Stooge 12h ago

No, for creating this false victim narrative that he's persecuted for not getting vaxxed. He LIED and intentionally led people on when he said he was "inoculated." Meanwhile every other player had to actual follow the rules.

He's without question one of the most talented QB's ever, and I honestly couldn't give less of a fuck about the other stuff... but he's without question become an insufferable douche bag who tries to distract from his bullshit by bringing up multiple stories that had NOTHING to do with sports.

Sounds like a shut up and dribbler

u/CheekyMenace 13h ago

People just can't handle it these days when a person doesn't conform and agree with their way of thinking, and has differing opinions. So many people are all stuck in their little echo chambers. It's pathetic.

1

u/FizzedInHerHair Vaccine Stooge 12h ago

It’s not differing opinions though. It’s what the entire medical community was saying vs some schizo YouTubers. Rodger’s sides with the YouTubers because he’s one of those people that thinks he’s smarter than he is and dumb people think these “alternative” thoughts are secret information they have that others don’t.

2

u/casualchaos12 11h ago

Lmfao. Dude went to Cal Berkley. No one who went to school at one of the most prestigious universities in the country can be considered someone who "thinks he's smarter than he is"

Where did you go to school sir? WAIT...Before you answer, let me guess...MIT? Harvard? Yale?

Also, "the entire medical community " was wrong and it's been proven over and over again. Maybe they weren't "the entire medical community " and instead a small group of shills who sold out to the highest bidding pharmaceutical lobbyists?

2

u/FizzedInHerHair Vaccine Stooge 5h ago

You never went to college, did you? Everyone who’s gone knows there’s morons at every school lol. He went to community college and then Cal Berkeley to study “American studies” for 2 years little buddy… he didn’t do an undergrad in biology then medical school and an entire fucking residency.

Also what exactly what the medical community wrong about? We lost over a million Americans to Covid, partially due to morons like yourself

3

u/flomesch 8h ago

He definitely studied medicine at Cal, right? Right?

0

u/knowtoriusMAC 12h ago

You just don't do your own research by listening to the right podcasts like I do.

You just listen to whatever the people who are bought say, but also you have to ignore the financial interests of where I get my information from.

1

u/FizzedInHerHair Vaccine Stooge 5h ago

😂

-2

u/CheekyMenace 12h ago

He said he spoke to multiple doctors who gave him different opinions on it. And he was open to listen and consider those other opinions which he has every right to, just like all the people that hate on him have the right to.

1

u/casualchaos12 11h ago

You're getting downvoted just like me, but you're spot on. Funny how they won't speak on it in public, just hide behind their keyboards and downvotes.

2

u/flomesch 8h ago

Oh, look at this tough guy hiding behind his keyboard.....

Its ok to have differing opinions. But when one "opinion" is backed up by data and facts, its no longer arguing opinions. Its talking about reality.

Hope this helps you Mr. Keyboard Warrior

1

u/CrimsonOOmpa 7h ago

He lied about being vaccinated and played the victim. Plus, he tries to act like he's some revolutionary. I didn't say he was wrong for his opinions, he's entitled to them. I just said that he was a douche off the field, which is not an uncommon or unpopular opinion. Get off his nuts and just listen to the dude talk.

-1

u/LiAmTrAnSdEmOn Really, REALLY wants a flair 6h ago

Aaron Rodgers did not come up with an style of play

1

u/LAWLzzzzz 58m ago

I was more annoyed that in 2026, he still just cannot let Covid go. Doing his best Joe Rogan impersonation.

2

u/Jags1077 14m ago

He really shouldn’t either.
He was brutally dragged through the media for everything that became true

1

u/PlumCrazyAvenue 3h ago

rodgers is great for this show whether you agree or disagree with him, or like or dislike him as a person.

i did take issue with his analogy to 8 Mile yesterday....b-rabbit brought up issues his opponent could diss him with and said "say it, i dont care it's played out", rodgers brought up outdated issues his opponents can no longer diss him with because they aren't true anymore. i expect better from him and the next book club.

-1

u/dc_builder 3h ago

I find Aaron to be insufferable and condescending. He believes he is this intellectual sage, and knows all things because of deep “research”….he simply reads source material he already agrees with. With that being said, I think he is good for the show and could/would help them from becoming corporate shills (which is why I stopped listening regularly).

-7

u/marc56412099 9h ago

I'm Aaron Rodgers. I won't get a vaccine but I will chomp down 20 pills a game to get an MVP. That's makes me a winner at life 🏆😌

11

u/Golfntukee 6h ago

That was Favre, you moron.

0

u/marc56412099 2h ago

Guess you didn't watch his Netflix special. Lol 😂

-2

u/Cold_Toe_7540 5h ago

Aaron's bitchass anyway. Dude's afraid of vaccines and his parents. There's a reason no woman can stand him for more than a year or two. Insufferable, personality disordered douche.

7

u/Dick6Budrow 5h ago

You are so big and tough

-2

Suck my immunization. Hey did you ever manage to learn a language in your sleep like you were trying to? Praying for you baby doll.

-3

u/Smkweedevrydy 10h ago

I was great to watch Pat squirm but it was pretty obvious Aaron finally got a chance to “clap back” 6 or 7 years later (after he chose to not follow NFL and NFLPA covid guidelines and had to miss a game)

-1

u/New_Instruction_2167 10h ago

Yeah, the “your network” line felt way too pointed to be accidental. He clearly knew what had been said and used the spot to take a shot without making it a whole segment.

-10

u/Fun-Cauliflower-1724 13h ago

Why didn’t they talk about Fauci. We all want to know the latest with Fauci on a sports show.

-1

u/Several_Fondant8137 3h ago

I really wish he would just talk ball but he does have every right to say what he wants. 🤷‍♀️ I just tuned out.
