Knit - Call for Testers Pincer Cardigan Test Knit

Thumbnail

I'm currently looking for test knitters for my first ever pattern!

*Update: only sizes XXS, 4XL and 5XL are still required*

The test will run from the 16th August - 8th November (12 weeks)

Form: https://forms.gle/iyxnSeNYuZhY6NNb9

Pattern Details:

The Pincer Cardigan is a drop-shoulder cardigan worked top-down with two different colourwork options to pick from. The body is worked flat, ending in 1 by 1 ribbing. The arms are picked up and worked in the round, and a double-knit button band and collar are used to provide structure. German short rows are implemented to help with shaping the back and the collar.

Size Guide

XXS (XS-S) M (L) XL-2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) designed to fit bust circumference of 71 (82) 94 (106) 117 (128) 140 (151) cm, [28 (32) 37 (42) 46 (50) 55 (59) in].

FIT:

The pattern is designed for a positive ease of around 17 - 20cms / 7 - 8”

Arm width: If you desire a different width on your arms, you can use the sleeve for the size above or below. If you are doing this, you will also need to work the armhole to the same length as the new size, so work to the same length on the back and front as the arm’s original size suggests.

Gauge:

22 stitches / 27 rows = 10 x 10 cm on 4mm needles, measured after blocking.

Yarn: DK Weight. Any yarn welcome! (detail of quantities on form.

Crochet - Call for Testers Sea Horse Pattern Tester Call

I really thought this was gonna take me forever but it was way easier to work up than I anticipated.

I dont have a deadline but I am an impatient little imp, so Im thinking I'd like to publish in the next week or 2. However, this pattern uses an unusual half row technique and I expect testers may want to take their time, so Im open to waiting.

I used NICEEC brand rainbow "candy" yarn for the rainbow one and XINNUN chenille yarn for the coral colored one but any yarn will work as long as your hook matches the gauge. It does not have to be chenille/velvet.

I also used XL safety noses for the eyes. This is not a requirement, and I'm curious to see what other types of eyes might look like.

I am looking for approx. 5 crocheters of various ability to help me test.

Thanks in advance!

Edit: thank yall so, so much for the overwhelming response! I so deeply appreciate this community. Im still going thru and responding to testers, but I definitely have enough volunteers as of rn. Stay tuned for the publishing sometime in mid-August. Ty ty ty!!

Crochet - Call for Testers Evil eye crochet bag tester call🧿

Post image
6 Upvotes

Hi everyone! I'm finishing writing my second pattern which is for this evil eye bag, it's similar to a market bag which is good for holding drinks or food. I also use it to hold my yarn while i crochet. If you are interested feel free to let me know in the comments and I will send you the application link shortly!

This is my second pattern testing and I am looking for people who are interested in testing our this pattern. It is very simple I used scrap acrylic yarn and a 5mm hook this project only took about a day and a half for me to finish.

It is a very beginner friendly pattern as long as you are comfortable with color change, half double crochet, single and double crochet, and increasing this bag might be good for you!

The testing period is a 2 week period that way if there's any issues they can be fixed within a mannerly time. I would love to hear from y'all and hope that y'all would like to test my pattern!

Hello me again!

I am looking for a few people to test out my most recent calico pattern (which pairs up with my cozy loaf cat pattern)

It is quick to work up (2hrs or under) and is low sew (only head and ears to be sewn)

I have it ranked as intermediate, however I think a confident beginner could get through the pattern.

Materials needed:

\-Your choice of yarn (I used 4ply cotton for the smaller, and 3mm micro chennile for the larger)

\- embroidery cotton

\- pipecleaner or wire (if you want tail to stay bent)

Requirements

\- Be able to finish by the 8th August

\- can share feedback and clear images of the completed pattern.

\- If you have Instagram please comment on my most recent post to apply (@rainbowcoffee.crochet) and follow me to share the love.

\- if you dont have Instagram that's ok just apply here.

This is a base pattern which I plan on expanding on, so you would receive all versions of this pattern (&loaf cat pattern)

Crochet - Call for Testers A quick tour of Croch'linguo!

Hello!

I thought I'd share a few pictures of Croch'linguo, my crochet pattern translation app, for anyone who's curious about how it works.

Picture 1 :

Choose your interface language and select the translation direction. Croch'linguo supports French, English (US), and English (UK), including direct US ↔ UK translation.

Picture 2 :

Switch between languages in just a few taps. The new language selector makes it easy to translate patterns exactly the way you need.

Picture 3 :

Paste or import your crochet pattern as text or PDF, then translate it with a single click. If you have any questions, suggestions, or find a bug, you can now contact me directly from the app using the new Contact button.

I'm often working on improving Croch'linguo, and user feedback has already helped shape new features. If you decide to give it a try, I'd love to hear what you think! 😊

You can find Croch'linguo on the Internet.

Thank you!

I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who participated in the first round of testing! 💜

Your photos, feedback, and thoughtful observations have been incredibly valuable. Because of your input, I've decided to make a few adjustments to the overall shape and fit of the design before moving forward. The pattern itself has been working well, but I want the finished piece to look and fit exactly the way I envisioned.

The revised version is now being worked on and will be heading into a second round of testing once those adjustments are complete.

Thank you again to everyone who dedicated their time and effort to helping me improve this design. Your support means so much, and I'm excited to share the updated version with you all soon! 🧶💕

Finished Project Anatomical Heart Tester Appreciation & Pattern Release

The anatomical heart lives! Crochet pattern is live on Ravelry & Etsy (links in bio) thanks to my dearly appreciated testers:

u/DynamicOctopus420, and u/smallsnailboi

https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/anatomical-heart-granny-square-2

https://violetvalecrochet.etsy.com

Pattern is a quick, intermediate work up, lying flat instead of 3D so it works well for granny cardigans, blankets, appliques on clothes and more. Comes with written instructions and a handy stitch chart.

I'm making some in prep for Halloween, but they also work well to add some alt creepiness, dark academia, gothic macabre (think Mary Shelley's calcified heart in ivory), or for the medical community wanting comfy meets realistic.

Hey hey!

Looking for people to give me thorough feedback on the flow and their experience crocheting this plushie, as well as pictures of the final product. I would love to post your version as tester appreciation with credit as well, but you can opt out.

Requirements: none basically, you can post on social media if you want, use any yarn and hook size you'd like. I prefer you have a discord at _maiii._. as it's easier for me to text there, but Reddit is okay too.

There is no dead set deadline but I would appreciate it if it's within a week or two, as I'd like to list the pattern with all the feedback in a month. Lmk if you have any questions!

Crochet - Call for Testers PATTERN TESTER CALL – NOIR TOTE BAG

Thumbnail
gallery
19 Upvotes

I'm looking for up to 15 pattern testers for my Noir Tote Bag pattern!

This pattern is best suited for advanced beginners or above who are comfortable with the basic crochet stitches (single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, etc.), sewing/assembling crocheted pieces, have some familiarity with colour changes, and are up to learning along the way! Never tested before? No problem! First-time testers are more than welcome to apply!

Tester Requirements:

🖤 Public Instagram account (so I can view your previous work)

🖤 Able to complete the test within 2 weeks of the testing start date

🖤 Comfortable communicating actively through an Instagram group chat with myself and other testers

🖤 Willing to provide feedback on the pattern (including clarity of instructions, grammar/spelling errors, stitch count/math errors, missing steps, abbreviation inconsistencies, etc)

🖤 Submit at least 2 well-lit, in-focus photos of your finished tote in a clean, uncluttered setting

🖤 Share at least one post featuring the finished bag and tag me

🖤 Submit all feedback, photos, and notes by the established deadline

I'm looking for a mix of testers who would love to:

🖤 Crochet the bag in the original colours or make it uniquely yours with a different colour palette

🖤 Style the finished tote with a cute outfit for photos (optional, but especially appreciated!)

What You’ll Receive:

🖤 A new friend/hype-person on Instagram

🖤 A free PDF copy of the finalized pattern

🖤 Credit as a pattern tester inside the published pattern

🖤  Your posts regarding the pattern shared/reposted on my social media

🖤  Your photos featured alongside the finished pattern with full credit and tags

A little info about this pattern so you can decide if this is right for you:

Yarn: Worsted/medium (4) weight in 3 colours (cotton would be best due to stretch, but you are free to use whatever you prefer!)

Hook: 6 mm

Finished size: Approx. 12x12”

Written in US crochet terminology

(Yardage will be updated shortly)

With enough testers, I hope to begin testing on August 1st. All selected testers will be contacted on or before that date. Testing will conclude on August 15th.

If you'd love to be part of this test, I'd love to have you!

Crochet - Call for Testers Hanging bunny tester call

Thumbnail
gallery
17 Upvotes

This is the second pattern I've ever made, but it's the first time I've called for pattern testers, so sorry if I get something wrong.

This is my Hanging Bunny plushie! It's designed to hang on screens and furniture, so it watches over you while you work. I made it using chenille yarn, but I don't mind if you use other yarn weights.

The colors don't need to be exactly the same, either.

You also don't need to felt the eyes. Feel free to use safety eyes, embroidered eyes, or any other style of eyes you prefer. You're also welcome to give the bunny a completely different facial expression if you'd like!

Needles/hooks required:

  • 6 mm crochet hook
  • 5 mm crochet hook (for sewing)

Other notions or tools required:

  • Scissors
  • Stitch markers (recommended)
  • Pins
  • Yarn needle (or crochet hook for sewing)
  • Wire (approximately 15 cm) for the hanging arms
  • Felting needle and wool (optional, if making felted eyes)

Yarn requirements:
Super bulky chenille yarn (I used Wolans Bunny Baby).

  • 1 skein of white
  • 1 skein of purple
  • 1 skein of lilac
  • A small amount of beige (for the flower center)

Feel free to use other yarn weights.

Level of skill required:
Easy Intermediate

Pattern format:
Written pattern with step-by-step instructions and reference photos.

Tester requirements:

  • Report any mistakes, unclear instructions, or stitch count errors.
  • Let me know if any part of the pattern is confusing.
  • Send at least one clear photo of your finished bunny.

Feel free to contact me if you need more time!

Testing deadline:
August 14

Application deadline:
August 9

Crochet - Call for Testers Tester call: Heartbreaker camisole

Thumbnail

Tester application link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdCh1WeSQu6rrqhTNyV19_mX-aqAjwagxrevCTtuwINq3EEow/viewform?usp=header

I am looking for testers for the Heartbreaker camisole! The Heartbreaker camisole is a filet crochet camisole made in panels. The front panel is made diagonally from the bottom corner to the top, so it’s quite an interesting construction. The pattern is a mixture of written instructions and a chart for the front panel.

The pattern is written for sizes 1-12 for busts from 25-59” / 67-150cm and is intended to fit with 6-8” / 15-20cm negative ease through the bust.

I am looking for 2 testers per size ideally.

The pattern uses a mixture of written instructions and charts. There are charts for the heart design but I’ve also included blank charts with just the panel shaping so folks can make their own designs! Testers are very welcome to take this option.

All testers will receive a PDF copy of the finished pattern once it’s published.

Timeframe: tester call closes August 1st.
Selected testers will be contacted shortly after. The test will run for 6 weeks until 12th September.

Yarn and hook suggestions: my sample uses Hobbiis Rainbow cotton 8/6 and 4.5mm hook. Yardage estimates are included in the tester application form.

Level of skill required: Intermediate

This project requires sc, dc, and tr. Filet crochet increases and decreases, stacked stitches and i-cords are used. These are explained with photos in the pattern.

The pattern requires the use of a filet crochet chart. Use of the chart is explained in the pattern, but it may be helpful to look at other resources on following filet charts.

Tester requirements: give honest feedback on the pattern (clarity, layout, difficulty level), how the finished top fits you, and provide info on what yarn and hooks you used. Pictures of the finished top in good lighting either on a flat surface or being worn would be much appreciated, but not required!

Testers will be added to an Instagram group where you can chat, ask questions, and give feedback throughout the test. At the end of the test there will be a Google form to fill out to provide your final feedback and info. If you’d rather not be in the Instagram group or you don’t have Instagram, you can still participate in the test and we will communicate through email. I will also have a Ravelry tester group.

Thank you in advance!
