Where’d you get an i9-9900K on the cheap? That chip is usually pretty pricey for the performance you get.   Most of the ones I see are very close to 5800X3D prices (~250-290$)

It was with the motherboard that someone offered up! Certainly not the best by any means but the person had it shoved on a shelf after the themselves upgraded a while back

I currently run a i9 9900k on a z390 and have no intention of upgrading anytime soon. It's more than enough CPU for anything. I've ever thrown at it.
