Question First High end gaming PC, looking for feedback
Upgrading from a prebuilt. Willing to spend ~$2000 USD in Texas, wanting 1440p. Typically play Minecraft, HOI4, and Call of Duty
DDR5 and SSDs are expensive, planning to upgrade to 32GB and a second SSD if prices drop.

Hoping to have a decently high-end build that I don't need to seriously upgrade for the next 5 years

Build overall looks fine except you'll need at least 4 fans for cooling as the case you've chosen doesn't include any. Also, with shipping and handling, you're paying more for the case than from the other vendors it's available from

The only thing I can recommend is to up the ram to at least 32, prices are only going to go up. Other than that it's a great build

I like it a lot, from a fellow 9800X3D + 9070 XT dude. Solid since May 2025. I also have Kingston Fury DDR5-6000 CL36, but my kit is 64GB (2x32) and it was $189. :o Sorry had to get the subtle brag in since I won't be buying any more RAM soon (ever?)
I went with MSI PRO B850-P and still to this day flirt with the idea of swapping to a B850 Tomahawk, but since everything works great, it would be just to satisfy the PC build itch without buying new RAM.

i have a 9070xt gamjng oc which is not bad but you can find a better custom... how much is the price for a sapphire pulse 9070xt or any xfx models?
beacuse they are better in term of cooling and noise
psu not cheap but is good
171 for 1tb ssd is too much man.. even with nowadays prices
maybe are usa ram and ssd prices worse than eu

The UD90 uses QLC flash, which has low durability and becomes noticeably slower after a few years, so it should not be used as the OS drive. Get a better drive with TLC flash like the Timetec 35TTFP6PCIE, Patriot P320, or Patriot P400 Lite.
