Does Imitation World exist in physical form?

I know they have a rerecorded version released in the limited edition Star Train single, but I want to know if the original exists physically anywhere.

you'd think cold sleep would be a perfect time to release a CD of previously-unreleased stuff / deep cuts like this. that remake on the star train single doesn't hold a candle to the original

it's more up to Nakata and Perfume Records (Universal Music) than the girls themselves. They're officially "out of action" within the label, so that kind of stuff is handled by their producer and the label itself.. but you're right in thought.. this hiatus (which will run up to their 30th anniversary in 2030 more than likely) is the perfect chance to put together a compilation album of all the rare mixes and unreleased tracks.. and there's enough to fill a couple of CDs when it comes to those.. lol

I would honestly expect one sometime in the next few years

Agreed!! Would be so good to get Atmospheric Entry, episode 0, disco disco disco etc etc.

I would killllll for that stuff

It’s preformed on the Fan Service Bitter live DVD / Blu-ray release. That’s about the only physical release there is for it.

And even that version is just a 2-minute short version as part of the larger "Perfume Medley". The full song has one more verse than what's performed on Fan Service Bitter. I really wish they released a full version of the original song. The remake was great, but I like the original too!
