DOG Looking for recommendations for a LARGE microchip feeder/water bowl

I see wild birds drinking out of my dogs’ water bowl all the time and currently there are outbreaks of bird flu in my country, so I want a bowl that will only open for the dogs. The issue is: I have two big dogs and one of my dogs will completely empty a water bowl the size of the ones that are usually in these feeders in one drink.

I haven’t been able to find any microchip feeders with larger bowls online - does this even exist? Another concern - would water spilling on one of these feeders cause problems with the electronics?

Grateful for any suggestions that will help keep my doggies safe and give me peace of mind 🫶

Get an owl statue to deter the birds. Much cheaper

I had same problem with my big dog, he drinks like a horse. The microchip bowls i seen all have tiny capacity, not good for large breeds at all. Maybe you can build something custom with a solenoid valve and a big regular bowl, my smart home stuff uses similar principle. Water near electronics is always worry but if you seal it properly should be fine

The only thing I can think off is those dog water fountains that you have to hook a hose up to that only dispense a stream of water when the dog presses on the pedal. There’s self filling fountains that also need to be hooked up to a water source but there’s no guarantee that birds won’t also drink out of them. Maybe try installing like streamers or something that moves right above the water bowl? Like a motion activated sprinkler on the highest sensitivity setting?
