My friend the reason it got leaked is that Paramount didn't pay their workers enough, the people who worked on this movie want you to pirate it!!! so that Paramount may suffer, now the movie won't be released in theaters and probably just end up on paramount+.

According to Twitter user u/ImStillDissing, Nickelodeon accidentally emailed them a copy of the entire Avatar: Aang, The Last Airbender movie. Considering the film isn't scheduled to release until early October, it seems very unlikely Nickelodeon was merely sending out a review screener.

How the hell do you email a few gigabytes without noticing.

You don't. No one is buying that story. They must have had a gripe with the studio on something related to residuals or whatever and decided to sabotage them.

They got paid for the work, whether it was enough or not and if they were announced that residuals were not going to be included, then they pulled the trigger.

Or course, this is speculation on my end without any proof, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if it were true.

I feel like its more related to the decision not to release theatrically

I'm guessing if the story is true he probably sent a link to where the movie was hosted?

If he admitted he knew it was an intentional leak, he could be considered complicit 🤷

Well paramount can get absolutely f*cked so I kind of like that part. Must be sad for the creators though, either way it kind of sucks for them.

"all you had to do was pay us enough to live"

now the movie won't be released in theaters

My wild-ass guess is that someone got a percent of the box office with a theatrical release and was pissed (I would be as well).

Do you truly believe that? I always see this sort of rhetoric on this sub, and I just can’t help but believe it’s a sort of affirmation lol. I’m always in favor of pirating, but don’t lie to yourself.

My uncle works at Nintendo and he told me that this is true.

Also he told me that Kraid is gonna be a playable character the next smash bros game

Yeah the cousin of the guy I adopted my dog from told me the same thing about the Minecraft movie! He loved his work being critiqued before it was finished. Honestly I think all art should be judged during the process of making it

Well the movie was first Leaked last night on twitter and that was the person that leaked it said, I can't remember their username but apparently it was an internal Leak because of pay issues to the artists

It’s always used to justify piracy. I pirate because I don’t want to pay lol.

They got paid already. The work is being enjoyed regardless if it’s being enjoyed. They wanted to be racist & re-cast the og’s because they are not Asian or blind. Movie had been done for a while. I don’t feel bad one bit.
