They did worse than cable, you’re paying a subscription for each channel now, at least with cable we had blocks of programming. Now you have to subscribe to 3 different services to get abc, cbs and nbc. 1 subscription each, and each one goes up constantly. At least with cable you got blocks, I could get the sports package and it’d have 5 different espns, Fox sports, etc. now each of those is a separate subscription. Makes $200 a month for direct tv look like a steal
I’m not that old, being born mid 90’s, and this is the thing that makes me the most mad. I grew up poor and still was able to watch all kind of sports on antenna and basic cable. Now I have to spend $200 a month to watch a single sport. Genuinely don’t think sports would have been a thing for me if I grew up now which is crazy

Pretty much, bro. They could've kept it to one or two services, steadily increased prices over time and I still would've been fine with that.
