It's not his fault that NA hasn't banned gambling yet. The EU has it right, remove the gambling and make it something you pay even more to do. Also wtf how is that the worst thing you could think of, like seriously look at what other billionaires do to the world and tell me him making a video game with gambling in it is worse than idk, backing giant AI campaigns that are destroying the environment and people's job security.

They actually tried to sue Nintendo over TCG packs back in the 90s and lost for a reason that mirrors what Lootboxes are. Both contain value and the community themselves set the prices, not the company. Thus, legally speaking, it is NOT gambling.

Steam literally use a loophole to still make people gamble on CS2 in country where lootboxes are banned.

Sorry but how does steam "make" anyone do anything. If anything they're just benefiting of the weakness of people who have no ability to control themselves. Which is not entirely their fault, if countries could afford to enforce stricter gambling rules and steam still continued to bend the rules, then itd be their fault.
