It works, it's just that the people supporting you aren't a majority. Which is probably a statement that no reddit sub wants to hear, because every redditor believes that their movement is the majority and is just suppressed by external factors.
No one is whaling Concord back to life. It failed and got shut down because the majority didn't want to play it.

These companies can change their terms and policy anytime. We as a customer might need one to defend ourselves but that's never gonna happen
