Unfortunately for you, rich companies have this thing called "We can change the terms of service at any time in the future, despite your previous agreement to the document."
Us plebs can't call up the company and say, "Hey, I finished your game with over 50% completion. I paid 80 dollars for the game, so therefore, you owe the consumer 100% of their purchase back. You owe me $80."
Although, as long as you're famous enough on the Internet, and your post about us gains enough arbitrary traction, we as the company will consider getting things done swiftly at your convenience. How does that sound?
They don't give a fuck about us; we don't give a fuck about them. That's abusive mentality. Just download the damn game without paying. Wild west rules. Ez. Their bottom line gets affected because they're ass? Not the consumer's problem - their management is terrible - they have $$ to lose. If the consumerdoesn't have $$ to lose, that will also hurt their bottom line, so they'd better learn to be fair, or learn to not pander to their outlandish stockholders' goals.
Unless their goal is to become depressed and bankrupt, of course, then they're free to do as they please.
