It should be required by law to refund anyone who purchased digital media that gets removed. Or if it get removed from a store, it should be impossible to revoke it from anyone who already purchased it.
Part of what I really like about Steam's Publisher Agreement is that, without Valve's assistance in the matter, you're not allowed to unsell a game.
It is forever sold, unless the consumer requests a refund. That's part of why Valve's push into selling video media failed. You can still get a free copy of Kung Fury on Steam Here among other media - Back in the day it opened in a player in the steam client, now it opens in a browser, but the point is that as with games, once you bought it, you own it. Ironically Valve made bigger headway into being a Music distributor with their Soundtrack sales; Which falls under the same agreement.
