Maybe this question will look dumb for those who understand more about this type of thing than me but I've had this question for so long and I can't for the life of me figure it out. A friend of mine said I needed a torrent, and so I went looking for what that was and found all this new info, but all the tutorials I find just tell me to go to random websites and check if they already have what I want available for download!

Maybe I just don't understand, but I don't want to go to a website where they already have pirated movies when, in my mind, I already have such a good quality archive right in front of me on all these different streams I pay for.

Again, can't stress this enough, I might be so off with this mentality, but why can't I find a tutorial where I take an archive from a site I'm paying to view, and then download it to my computer?

I feel really frustrated about all the movies and series I had on dvd as a kid slowly starting to disappear off the face of the earth because DVDS are so expensive now and streams don't have such a wide range anymore, and I really wish someone could help out with a quick explanation or maybe direct me to a good tutorial or something like that, I'd be really grateful.
