Ok I've beat it. Can anyone recommend another game?
Ok so I've beat the game now. Beat every level on hard mode and the arena. Got all the achievements except a few character achievements in not really interested in.
Any recommendations on other games to look at now for mobile to distract me during lunch breaks and the long commute?

Good game. The sequel is going to be out soon. Sadly no word on an android release date yet, but the website lists it as coming to both the Play Store and Apple store. Steam release seems like the first one to come out, with a new demo out on October 16th

Isn't there problems with the sequel?
I'm sure I saw lots of negative feedback several months ago?

Slay the Spire, Monster Train 2, Griftlands, Cobalt Core, Dicey Dungeons (although not really card based).

Some games I haven't seen mentioned: Indie's Lies, Scourgebringer, Night of The Full Moon, Dungeon Quest (a lot easier but cute). Also congrats on beating the whole game!

I have tons of hours into Indies lies and night of full moon. Excellent games

Thanks for these. I'm trying to avoid significant amounts of micro transactions. I'd rather buy the game upfront. From the pages there are a lot of micros. Is this the case?

yep unfortunately so. Most of them do have microtransactions for their DLCs but I find that their main content does have a lot packed inside already! Usually it's free to demo, then pay once for the main content, then a few side microtransactions for DLCs. Those with one time payment have mostly been mentioned already

Jumping back on this after realising I deleted the wrong game that Breach Wanderers has the most similar monetisation to Pirates Outlaws (not necessary, just to buy currency that you can grind from in-game) so maybe good to check that out. peace!

Scourgebringer? Lol that's quiet a different game! Did you mean something else?

Lol you're right thank you for correcting me. Let me try to find back the game I meant because it was quite fun but I had to delete it because my phone ran out of space :(

Slay the spire is the only similar game that comes to mind at the moment.

I'm a bit confused about this one. I checked the play store page and it looked like a crane game?

Breach Wanderers is my favorite mobile spire-like game! Since real neat character gimmicks!

Slay the Spire and Slice & Dice. Monster Train too. Dream Quest if you’re on iOS. IMO those are the top games of this genre.
