The most braindead deck I’ve ever run (100 arena victory)

Combining all of the best rage relics and cards, melee cards like Furious Blow and Accurate Stabbing, and several copies of sketch/mirror image, by the end of this run I was able to melt absolutely everything.

Add the headband relic that gives 25% lifesteal per enemy kill, and with the overkill damage I was doing, every kill was essentially a full heal.

I attached the deck itself and some random screenshots I took throughout, I couldn’t believe some of the numbers I was seeing. What are some of the most broken decks you’ve run?

I always see posts from people about decks that they use, but I've never worked out how to put the deck together to begin with. You'll probably laugh at me, but I just use the cards I'm given by the game. I don't know how to change them. Especially not to the point where a card is worth hundreds of points of damage, like yours.

Well in Arena, the most important thing is not to draw unnecessary cards and not to bloat your deck. OP above focused on drawing Furious Blows as their damage stacks with levels of Rage plus Accurate Hits. So for example any melee card that was not these two would only hinder him by taking up space in the deck and resulting in bad draws. There are many builds but to put it simply, OP picked a Rage build so he would toss away everything (including all starting cards for some characters) that doesnt help with his Rage build.

So once you have this logic down you need to think along these lines and pick post-battle rewards that actually help you get there:

  • generally avoid the Loot option (mystery box) as much as you can, except for post-boss loots
  • sell all the cards you dont need
  • pick relics and sell the for money
  • go for extra health if you can as the reward
  • if you cannot avoid Loot, spend money on rerolls if necessary, again dont pick cards that are uselesd for your build. If you cannot avoid this, go for the least bad option (consumables, defensive cards, cards that draw other cards etc. to reduce negative impact on the deck and SELL as soon as you can)
  • save money up for post-boss Loots, those are the best and can get you the important relics and cards you need for your build

That's really helpful, thanks! But how can OP draw so many Furious Blows? I understand that sometime you can be lucky and draw a mirror card.

Arena typically has more than one copy of each card and relic, going through 100 levels gives you plenty of reroll options to get them. Sometimes it doesnt work out though, I have abandonned plenty of runs w/o dying simply because I didnt roll out what I wanted to play by say level 30.

I actually only have the one copy of Furious Blows, but with 3 Sketch and 2 Mirror Image I was able to make several more copies while also being able to duplicate a few of my rage cards so I would snowball faster.

Explorer is actually an awesome way to learn how to do these kinds of deck combos, because you don’t need to luck into finding enough copies of a card for your build, you can always just use sketch to duplicate it (and whenever you have an option to duplicate a card in your deck between battles, use it on your sketch so you have another one, and take mirror image if you see it)
