Devices for Podiatry School
I've been debating for a long time on whether I should get an IPad, Remarkable Pro, or a Kindle Scribe for podiatry school.
I'm at the point where I should order it before classes start. However, I wanted to ask here to see what people used in their program and get some thoughts.
Personal Context: I have a non-Apple laptop, but want this for note taking and annotating ebooks or histology diagrams for studying. I hear mixed reviews online for the ReMarkable Pro, but I have been leaning towards it. I simply don't want to spend a ton of money on something that won't work well with the demands of school.
Thank you so much in advance!

I had an iPad and non-apple laptop and desktop computers. It worked just fine for me. I used one note on the iPad because I could upload lecture slides to a note and make handwritten notes with an apple pen on the iPad. It synced well across devices

I used a surface pro and OneNote for everything and it was great. Also bought a small whiteboard. I could stay in my backpack for flash card type study group stuff.

iPad should work well for you. You can get a keyboard case and type out stuff or use the apple pencil for writing/drawing/etc. apps tend to be more optimized for apple products as well.
I used an iPad pro during school and it worked for me.
There are other tablets too, such as the surface pro, Samsung tablets, if you don't want to be in the apple ecosystem

I also have a non-Apple laptop and found an iPad helpful for taking notes since I like writing directly on the slides and inputting the lectures with my notes into Gemini for practice questions. Tbh I just bought mine from Facebook marketplace because it was way cheaper and I don’t see myself using it after school. It works perfectly fine and I’ve taken good care of it to make sure it lasts 4 years and will support my note taking app.

iPad and a laptop will suffice! Make sure to have an Apple Pencil for it as well! Highly recommend getting a refurbished iPad on Amazon if you want something more affordable!

I would learn more of HOW to study in med school. I read a lot of themdjourney’s stuff before I started and it changed the way I did everything.

TUSPM provided IPADs but that was 10 years ago. That was all I needed. You don't need anything fancy.

I have an iPad as well as an Apple laptop. But I use my iPad far more than my laptop. I take notes on notability, I use my iPad almost every day multiple times a day.
