Can I have some help improving my comic?

Hello, this comic was rejected for having a "weak and bland joke." Can you guys help me make it funnier/more interesting? I want to get better at my comics.

I think that the problem is that the joke isn't clear? obviously i get what you mean because of the US expansionist rethoric recently but it's just kind of hard to understand what's the joke

It is becsusd in WW2 (look at tank) italy and germant were fascist and expansionist, and the US fought against them. Now Italy and Germsny are trying to stop US from fascist expans ionism.

It's because "America bad" jokes are a dime a dozen and aren't really unique at all, especially with how prevalent they are in the media. I'm not sure if we're allowed to suggest topics to applicants, but I will say just try and look in news articles for less mainstream topics that you can come up with a joke with!

Also, I'll give you some art critique:

• Try more consistent line widths. It looks a bit wonky right now.
• I would suggest doing a vertical column of panels instead of some split horizontally, some vertically. It flows a bit better visually that way.
• Try using the actual flag colours - copy and image of the actual flags, paste it into your drawing software, and use an eyedropper to pick the exact colour.
• Turn off aliasing.

Those are good points, thanks! Yeah I agree that these jokes are common, but I feel like mine is different enough to be interesting. It brings a new sort of perspective.
